Osteria Morini

Classic Italian food with fresh ingredients is celebrated at Osteria Morini. This Navy Yard newcomer takes pride in its handmade pastas and authentic Italian dishes. The mortadella is their most ordered dish, with the crostini as a close second, and dessert is also available with options such as tiramisu and pesche. The atmosphere of Osteria is friendly, and the décor is very modern.

The Arsenal

The industrial layout of The Arsenal aides its exuberant atmosphere – it dates back to 1919. The Arsenal seats 200 people and is housed within the Bluejacket brewery, and has made it a priority to use locally sourced products, making it charcuterie and pastas all in house. The menu also features various gourmet sandwiches and seasonal vegetable dishes for those who are vegetarian. Be sure to stop into the Bluejacket brewery for an after dinner drink.

Agua 301 Restaurant

The only thing better than the food at Agua 301 is the view from its dining room. With waterside views and modern Mexican dishes, Agua 301 is one of the main staples in the Washington D.C. restaurant scene. Happy hour is offered seven days a week, and their original guacamole is popular among the locals. The décor is modern, and the open layout allows for an intimate romantic night out.

100 Montaditos

The strength of 100 Montaditos lies in its cheap prices on food and drinks. 100 Montaditos specializes in small sandwiches which are all priced under one dollar – popular choices include the garlic pork loin and meatball sandwiches. 100 Montaditos is in an ideal location, being right next door to the Washington Nationals stadium. Justin’s Café is the hidden gem of the Navy Yard dining scene – they have perfected comfort food with their main dishes being chicken wings and personal pan pizzas. The hours extend when the Washington Nationals have home games. The atmosphere at Justin’s Café is relaxed and the décor is modern, plus, they have a full bar.

TaKorean

TaKorean, a Korean and Mexican fusion restaurant, began as a food truck and is quietly establishing a great reputation for itself itself in the Navy Yard district. The inventive cooking is best represented in dishes such as Korean barbecue tacos and pickled cabbage with avocado. TaKorean also offers option for vegetarians, vegans, and those with a gluten intolerance.

Cornercopia

Cornercopia’s speciality is their delicious, housemade sandwiches. Their bestselling sandwich is The Stadium, which features fresh deli meats and locally sourced ingredients. Cornercopia also offers vegetarian and vegan options for sandwiches. The décor of Cornercopia is café style, which works great for small parties or solo dining, and the atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable.

Leo’s Wings And Pizza

Leo’s chicken wings are extremely popular with D.C. locals. With 25 sauces and options for boneless or whole wings, Leo’s Wings does not disappoint. Leo’s does not offer inside dining, but delivery is inexpensive and fast. Prices at Leo’s are affordable, and they offer some of the best deals on food in the Navy Yard – plus, they offer a small breakfast menu that serves portions large enough to share or store for later.
