Ever wondered what the world’s most popular countries in the world are? Reddit has the answer.

The subreddit /r/Earthporn is a goldmine for people who really appreciate the beautiful world we live in. What’s this subreddit about? Expect lots of satellite views and pretty landscapes, which will give you extreme wanderlust.

So, which countries are the most popular for submissions? Well, this might surprise you, but the US actually came out on top, with more than 25,000 posts!

But, which of these countries has the best reputation? The Reputation Institute (yes, it’s a thing) looks at many factors when it decides which countries have the best, and worst reputation.

Here are just a few of the statements they consider:

I would recommend visiting the country
I would recommend living in the country
I would recommend working in the country
I would recommend investing in the country
I would recommend buying products/services originating from the country
I would recommend studying in the country
I would attend to an event

Based on all the answers, they were able to compile enough data to list the countries with the best reps around the globe (pretty pics included):

1. Sweden

Gamla Stan

2. Canada

Jasper National Park

3. Switzerland

Swiss Alps

4. Australia

Sydney Harbour

5. Norway

Bergen

6. Finland

Helsinki skyline

7. New Zealand

Fjords

8. Denmark

Copenhagen

9. Ireland

Cliffs of Moher

10. Netherlands

Netherlands flower fields

So, even though America is the most talked about, it turns out Sweden (and most of Europe for that matter) is actually the most popular country on the planet. Mind-blowing, right?
