Maison Blunt is situated in a converted garage and now attracts visitors from Kreis 5 and beyond with its Moroccan specialities. The restaurant is divided between a cosy tearoom in which you can relax in low chairs and sofas, and a dinning room, reserved for lunch and dinner. On a Sunday the oriental venue serves a scrumptious brunch. Expect to find the young and trendy crowd of Zürich tucking into the Middle Eastern influenced dishes which range from couscous salads to falafels, hummus and halloumi. Maison Blunt is the ideal spot for a somewhat less traditional Sunday brunch and the mezze-plates and fresh mint teas will transport you to a different place.

The cafe features three rooms, each with different features but all ideal to while away the morning hours over a steaming cup of coffee. Numerous customers pass through the doors throughout the day, resulting in a constantly changing crowd. The selected menu focuses on the basics such as Swiss Gipfeli with jam and fried eggs. In recent years the cafe has earned a reputation for its incredibly tasty coffees. Café Lang offers traditional breakfasts every weekend and the snug ambiance makes for the perfect start to the day.

The Markthalle restaurant relies on authentic, rural cuisine and serves a wide range of Swiss specialities. While its lunch and dinner dishes are worth mentioning, it is the tasty brunch that has caught our eye and more importantly taste buds. It is situated in the Im Viadukt market hall which is filled with numerous shops and restaurants. The Markthalle’s breakfasts consist of generous portions and high-quality, regional ingredients from Swiss cheese to Fidelio ham. The extensive menu will satisfy even hard-to-please visitors and the earthy coffees are particularly worth mentioning. With its bistro-like feel, the Markthalle is ideal for a laid-back morning and a hearty breakfast.
