Luckily for Bangkokians and tourists alike, Gallery Pizza finally made its way into the Italian scene in January 2016. This Italian restaurant is open late, delivering their delicious pies until 4 a.m. Only the freshest and best ingredients are used to make their pizzas, with some of their most noteworthy pies including their vodka pie (฿275/US$8), white garlic chicken (฿365/US$10.70), or their classic mouthwatering Margherita (฿265/US$7.75). Gallery Pizza also has an extensive wine menu of red and white wine that pair perfectly with their pies. Check out their promotion, where diners can order any two delivered pizzas for just ฿499 (US$14.60).

Bangkokians will dine like Italians at Pizza and the City, an authentic Italian restaurant located in the heart of the capital. The restaurant is at the end of infamous Sukhumvit Soi 11, but visitors will forget whatever seedy happenings are taking place outside when they enter. Quality Italian food is found here, with Neapolitan pizzas and simple yet mouthwatering starters and mains to choose from. Enjoy the classic yet delicious Margherita pizza (฿350/US$10.25), the spicy diavola (฿490/US$14.30), or the heavily topped speck e rucola, made with speck ham, rocket leaves, melted mozzarella cheese and creamy tomato sauce (฿550/US$16). Located in the downtown hub of Phloenchit is Pizza Massilia. This classy Italian joint is the product of two well-known names in the foodie scene of Bangkok: Chef Luca Appino and restaurateur Frederic Meyer. The two have worked with and in the kitchens of some of the most popular restaurants in the city. They decided that Bangkok needed a gourmet Italian restaurant, and are inspired by the Italian pioneers who created the Napoli pizza. All of their delicious pies are made in a wood-fired pizza oven hailing all the way from Italy.

Favorite pies include the Margherita pizza (small for ฿250/US$7.30), their signature cold cut pizza topped with homemade ham, Italian salami, and cured pancetta (small for ฿590/US$17.30), and their unique carpaccio beef pizza (small for ฿490/US$14.30). There are also many salads, starters, and non-pizza main courses to choose from, with popular dishes including their rocket salad pizza (small for ฿290/US$8.50), the wood oven baked Bolognese lasagna (฿390/US$11.40), or spaghetti aglio olio Pomodoro (฿240/US$7).

Pizza Massilia has a second location in Sala Daeng.

For diners lacking a huge appetite, most pizzas can be bought by the slice, ranging from ฿45-105 (US$1.30-3). The menu also clearly states which dishes are vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free, making it easy for those with dietary needs to chow down on their favorite Italian dishes. Pala Pizza Bangkok is also equipped with an extensive drink selection, with everything from wine to a soy milk cappuccino.

Entire days are needed to create the perfect pizza at Peppina, an Italian chain restaurant with locations around the capital. With a total of five locations, there is a Peppina for everyone visiting Bangkok. Prepping the groundwork for the delicious pizzas is serious business at Peppina. Though the pizzas themselves are cooked quickly, making the actual dough takes 24 hours, in order for it to rise. It is then rolled by hand to perfection and enhanced with things like imported cheese and Italian tomatoes. Some of the best pizzas include their Friarielli e Salsicce (medium for ฿320/US$9.40), Margherita (medium for ฿290/US$8.50), and their tasty truffle pizza (฿580/US$17).

Lido Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria is so much more than a pizza joint. It was actually first established as a travel agency in 1998. The delicious cuisine did not enter the scene until 2004, housed inside the Lido Guesthouse, located nearest the MRT subway station Khlong Toei.

Visitors will struggle to choose just one pizza to devour, with 14 different pies. From their classic pizza marinara (฿190/US$5.50) to the pizza prosciutto crudo di parma (฿280/US$8.20), visitors cannot go wrong with any Lido’s pizza. As well as pizza there are a number of noteworthy Italian finds, with pages of the menu dedicated to Italian favorites like calzones and homemade pasta. There are a number of vegetarian options available, too.

The pizza selection is small but memorable, with the ‘Vesper’ pizzetta (฿330/US$9.70), ‘quattro stagioni’ pizzetta (฿330/US9.70), or the ‘prosciutto di parma’ pizzetta (฿320/US$9.40) to choose from. Those able to stray from the delicious pizza will find a plethora of Italian mains, pastas, and antipasti on the menu. All of Vesper Cocktail Bar & Restaurant’s menu options are best paired with a cocktail made by one of their award-winning bartenders.
