Located in the downtown hub of Phloenchit is Pizza Massilia. This classy Italian joint is the product of two well-known names in the foodie scene of Bangkok: Chef Luca Appino and restaurateur Frederic Meyer. The two have worked with and in the kitchens of some of the most popular restaurants in the city. They decided that Bangkok needed a gourmet Italian restaurant, and are inspired by the Italian pioneers who created the Napoli pizza. All of their delicious pies are made in a wood-fired pizza oven hailing all the way from Italy.

Favorite pies include the Margherita pizza (small for ฿250/US$7.30), their signature cold cut pizza topped with homemade ham, Italian salami, and cured pancetta (small for ฿590/US$17.30), and their unique carpaccio beef pizza (small for ฿490/US$14.30). There are also many salads, starters, and non-pizza main courses to choose from, with popular dishes including their rocket salad pizza (small for ฿290/US$8.50), the wood oven baked Bolognese lasagna (฿390/US$11.40), or spaghetti aglio olio Pomodoro (฿240/US$7).

With a total of five locations, there is a Peppina for everyone visiting Bangkok. Prepping the groundwork for the delicious pizzas is serious business at Peppina. It is then rolled by hand to perfection and enhanced with things like imported cheese and Italian tomatoes. Some of the best pizzas include their Friarielli e Salsicce (medium for ฿320/US$9.40), Margherita (medium for ฿290/US$8.50), and their tasty truffle pizza (฿580/US$17).

Visitors will struggle to choose just one pizza to devour, with 14 different pies. From their classic pizza marinara (฿190/US$5.50) to the pizza prosciutto crudo di parma (฿280/US$8.20), visitors cannot go wrong with any Lido’s pizza.
