Being the capital city, Bogotá is arguably the best place in Colombia for cafes and fast internet connections. If you’re a digital nomad, travel blogger, or simply want to email your family with some great coffee on hand, here are the best cafes with Wi-Fi in Bogotá, Colombia.

Amor Perfecto

Cafe, South American

Located in Chapinero, Amor Perfecto is one of Bogotá’s best cafes: their coffee comes from across the country and is some of the finest you are likely to sample in Colombia. Containing a coffee laboratory – where you can take barista and cupping courses – as well as a small outdoor terrace, comfortable seating and, most importantly for this post, very fast and reliable WiFi, Amor Perfecto is the ideal spot for working online in Chapinero.

Catación Pública

Catacion Publica in Usaquen neighbourhood is another of Bogotá’s best-loved cafes and they also run some great tasting and cupping workshops and experiences, ranging from introductory tasting sessions where participants taste three regional coffees to full-on barista training. It’s the perfect coffee experience if you are a professional or maybe looking to become one. They also have fast internet, and it’s a great place to visit if you are looking to do some serious work, particularly during the week, as it’s quiet and the WiFi signal is barely tested by crowds of people.

Varietale

Cafe, South American

A delightful cafe located alongside Bogotá’s huge Javeriana University, Varietale is designed in the style of a traditional building in the Coffee Region, with colourful painted window frames and doors, and a large back garden dripping with exotic flowers and plants. Each coffee comes with an information sheet detailing the region it comes from and who produced it, while they also offer a selection of teas, beers, and cakes. It gets very busy with students, but the WiFi connection never seems to fail and remains, if anything, surprisingly fast.

Bourbon Coffee Roasters

Tucked away in the middle of Chapinero is a sleek wooden coffeehouse with a slight modern inflect – this tranquil coffeehouse has big, comfortable chairs for customers to relax in. Bourbon has a large range of coffees from all over Colombia, a variety of preparation methods and a nice selection of pastries, cakes, and sandwiches. With friendly and knowledgeable staff who will be able to help customers with their coffee choices and high-speed WiFi, Bourbon offers a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere for work.

Café Devoción

Cafe, South American

A cafe located alongside the Hilton Hotel in Chapinero district, Café Devoción is popular with business-people staying in the Colombian capital and, accordingly, has an excellent WiFi connection to go with its equally world-class coffee. Sourced from a variety of locations in Colombia and explained and prepared by some of the country’s top baristas, Café Devoción is as ideal a spot for a working coffee as it is for a sociable one.

Juan Valdez Orígenes

Cafe, South American, Pastries

This extra large branch of the popular Juan Valdez coffee chain is located in the Zona G neighbourhood of Chapinero in Bogotá. While Juan Valdez Cafes are scattered throughout the city, the Orígenes branch is hugely popular with those in search of a cafe with WiFi: set over three storeys, Orígenes is easily spacious enough to accommodate demand, and the internet connection is fast and strong. Throw in great coffee, a pleasant roof terrace, and food options, and Orígenes ticks all the boxes of a good cafe in Bogotá.

Cafe Cultor

The flagship branch of the popular independent cafe chain, Cafe Cultor in the hip, up-and-coming neighbourhood of Quinta Camacho is perhaps the best of the three Cafe Cultors in Bogotá. It is certainly the best for working, with a good WiFi signal and comfortable chairs (plus a conference room available for meetings). With some of the best baristas in the city, beautiful street-art on the walls, and a peaceful patio area complete with water fountain and chirping birds, Cafe Cultor is like a little oasis of peace and tranquillity in the heart of Bogota.
