The Improvised Shakespeare Company takes on the classics…. sort of. The shows are completely improvised, and built off of a suggestion from the audience, with Shakespearian language and themes to guide them, but in no way constrain them. Every show is unique, because every show is made up as it happens, keeping everyone (including the actors) on their toes. The Improvised Shakespeare Company is the most acclaimed improv group in the country, but they’re Chicago-based, meaning that they’re only in LA for two nights, at the Largo.
