Wine lovers will be glad to hear there’s plenty of the good stuff to be had in Panama City. Here’s a list of the very best places to get your glass of red or white, day or night.

1. The Wine Bar

You simply can’t go wrong with a place named “The Wine Bar.” It has a phenomenal selection of wine on offer, and excellent food too. From the cheese and meat platter to the pizza and Caprese salad, everything is said to be spectacular.

2. Los Años Locos

Bar, Contemporary

A brand new location of this beloved chain in Panama, Los Años Locos translates to “The Crazy Years” and is a beautiful establishment. Come hungry and thirsty and ready to relax and enjoy the lovely ambience of this gem of an eatery. Have a fine glass of wine while scoping the menu and sit back and relax – Los Años Locos is where it’s at.

3. Churreria Manolo

Restaurant, Contemporary

Two words: heavy pour. You get far more than what you pay for here when ordering a glass of wine. This is also a cozy café with divine food and dessert, and of course – the truth is in the name – churros, which pair beautifully with a glass of red wine, if you were wondering.

4. Avatar

Restaurant, Indian

This Indian eatery is known for incredibly delicious dishes. Also on offer is another outstanding incentive – a very generous pour of your favorite wine. Save the sipping for after dinner if you have a sensitive stomach, however, from experience.

5. Cava 15

Wine Bar, Contemporary

This intimate sky lounge wine bar offers light fare and delightful drinks in a contemporary dining atmosphere high in the sky with beautiful views of the city. The extensive, world-class wine list is sure to please the connoisseur, as well as the casual wine enthusiast.

6. Eleven

Wine Bar, Contemporary

Eleven is a casual wine bar with a lovely outdoor terrace as well as an upstairs and large balcony that overlooks the passersby walking on Via Argentina. Eleven offers a great cocktail menu, super cheap bucket of local Panamanian beer and shareable appetizers, as well as a pretty generous food menu. The ambience is always warm-spirited and chill – a great place to sit back, relax and enjoy.

7. Saquella Espresso Club

Coffee Shop, Contemporary, Dessert, Italian, Vegetarian, Coffee, Tea

It may not say so in the name, but this espresso club is a divine café that offers incredible wine alongside great food, coffee and dessert. It is located in several areas of Panama City, all of which are superb.
