With beachwear sold widely across the island, there’s no shortage of places to buy your new bikini, but we’ve narrowed it down to a list of the best beachwear boutiques it has to offer.

There’s also a distinct Scandinavian influence with brands such as Chill Norway, Line of Oslo and Odd Molly on offer, as well as Ibizan brand Charo Ruiz and many more.

Cassai Home and Fashion, Ses Salines

Set in the picturesque and chichi town of Ses Salines, this charming shop sells mostly homeware but also has a limited collection of beachwear in the form of kaftans and other cover-ups, all with a vintage feel. Cassai Home and Fashion is located in an old house and spread across a number of different rooms piled high with all manner of eclectic interiors items. There’s a tiny room in the middle of the store, lined with rails of floaty bohemian dresses and tunics, which also houses a fantastic range of baskets. A lovely place to wander around, this is the kind of shop that makes you want to buy all kinds of things that you never knew you needed.

Kidama, Puerto Portals

The Kidama boutique is located in the stylish port Puerto Portals, with much of their clientele being the well-preened women arriving on the many large yachts in the area. This family-run shop boasts a handpicked selection of elegant designer clothing, colourful shape-enhancing swimwear, gem-embellished purses and statement jewellery. Popular brands here include Roberto Cavalli, Missoni, Paule Ka and Colombo Cashmere to name but a few.

Vell Marí

Vell Marí in the small resort town of Sant Elm, is a café and clothing boutique where you can shop and then enjoy sea views with a refreshing drink. They stock a wide variety of Mediterranean-style fashion and accessories, with beautiful striped beach towels, hats and sunglasses as well as the usual cover-ups and tunics. They sell many Spanish brands such as Hoss Intropia, Sita Murt, Pura Lopez and Lola Cruz, alongside international favourites including Paul & Joe, Scotch & Soda and Havaiana. The swimwear is not cheap but is excellent quality – the brand is well-established and has stores all over the world. For the extra cute factor, they do a father and son range of swim-shorts in matching fabrics.
