Move over, Thonglor. Bangkok’s longstanding trendiest neighbourhood has met its match with the rise of Ari. Already home to dozens of stand out cafes and restaurants, Ari has attracted a wide range of outstanding independent shops that are at once quirky, sophisticated, and adapted to fit the area’s eccentric personality.

1. Museum of Everything Jinglebell

The Museum of Everything is a tall title to bear, but this retro Ari boutique delivers on its promise. Specialising in vintage styles from high-brow name brands like Chanel to more affordable novelties, expect to find treasures sourced from all over the world and from every era.

2. Chuan Pisamai Cafe and Vintage Shop

Featuring a romantic, vintage bridal décor, this extremely photogenic shop specialises in swimwear and wedding items, as well as its own vintage clothing line. The downstairs café (after all, it wouldn’t be an Ari shop without an in-house café) sets the whimsical tone with vintage furniture and accessories, while shoppers can make their way straight upstairs. Items are available for sale as well as rental for special occasions.

This new lifestyle fashion outlet was launched by a local indie-movie actress and fashion contributor to The Standard, so fashionistas can rest assured the shop will meet all their on-trend expectations. With more than 30 Thai and international brands featured, Gloc’s range of clothing, accessories, and beauty products are all surprisingly affordable. New items are updated frequently through the shop’s Instagram page.
