The BTS Skytrain stop Ari is often overlooked. It’s between two of Bangkok’s most famous and popular stops. The first is Mochit, where you will find the infamous Chatuchak Weekend Market. The second is Victory Monument. Because of this, Ari is oftentimes left out of travel itineraries. This area, however, is an up-and-coming neighborhood with the most delicious cafes and coffee shops to prove it. So, here we’ve put together the seven best cafes and coffees shops in Ari, Bangkok.

Bangkok Espresso Bar is a great hangout spot in Ari. It always has the latest and best beats playing. It’s also surrounded by some of the best street food in the area, so you can pick and choose what food you want before grabbing a cup of coffee from Bangkok Espresso Bar. This coffee vendor is one of the cheapest on our list with drinks including lattes, a caramel macchiato, and teas ranging from only ฿30-70.

Any cafe with air conditioning makes our top coffee shop list. That being said, we come here for so much more than just the air conditioning. OH Cafe’ is a great place to sit and relax while enjoying one of their in-house baked treats or sipping on one of their delicious coffees. The aroma wafting from its oven is simply too enticing to ignore.

Just a short walk from the BTS Skytrain stop Ari you’ll find Laliart Coffee. This coffee shop is next door to Tokyobike, which would explain the seemingly unusual decor. Trays of brownies first greet you as you walk into this stylish, retro shop. As you explore its menu, you’ll be surprised to find coffees with roots from around the world, including Costa Rica, Papua New Guinea, and Colombia for only ฿120. Laliart Coffee has the essentials every coffee shop needs, as well as some interesting brews that ‘ll have you exploring the menu for way too long. Some of these unique drinks include warm apple pie cappuccino and double dark chocolate hazelnut cappuccino.

What do you fab? Find out by bringing your thinking cap and appetite to FabCafe Bangkok. This is one of the coolest cafes in Ari, if not in all of Bangkok. This trendy cafe is also a workspace, designed to allow its customers to be the most creative beings possible. FabCafe has locations around the world, including in Singapore, Spain, and France. Each one of these locations is equipped with a variety of digital fabrication tools, for example, laser cutters and 3D printers. You’re able to use these tools to bring your ideas to life, if that’s what you’re into. It truly is a conducive space for coming and creating with others. And the food and coffee aren’t bad, either. FabCafe serves up coffee, tea, smoothies, and alcohol.

Rose Apple Cuisine

With plush colorful seating and stuffed animals doubling as decorations, cute is the first word that comes to mind when visiting Rose Apple Cuisine. You’ll find this coffee and food duo tucked off Soi (street) 6 and right off the BTS Skytrain. We love its breakfast, with yogurt, muesli, eggs, and toast to choose from, served up with a hot shot of espresso. Rose Apple Cuisine is a great place to escape Bangkok’s heat and chill out for a few hours before taking on the city.

Prepare to have your mind blown by The Coffee Zelection. Never have we seen such a dense menu. With so many interesting and mouthwatering drinks to choose from, you’ll definitely have to make multiple stops at this coffee shop in order to try them all. The recommended menu includes its dark chocolate frappe and punch sunquick mandarin soda, each for less than $3. The Coffee Zelection also sells coffee jelly, a rich combination of Thailand’s famous jelly dessert being topped over your favorite coffee. The list goes on and on, so be sure to check out The Coffee Zelection, located less than a five-minute walk from the BTS Skytrain.

Coffee Kun

At first glance, one might easily overlook this coffee stall for, perhaps, the Starbucks just across Sukhumvit Road. What Coffee Kun might be lacking in presentation, it makes up for in taste and cost. None of its drinks are over‎ ฿40, with many costing as little as ‎฿25 (less than $1). Its choices are limited in comparison to some of the other coffee shops on our list, but this stand has everything you need to get through your day on one of its delicious cups of coffee. Our favorite coffee is the latte, which is decorated with a large dollop of whipped cream before being served cold. Coffee Kun also has blue mountain coffee, lemon tea, green tea, and more.
