Just finished your book and want to start another? Then check out Jerusalen bookstore, the largest book exchange in Cusco. Trade in two used books to get another, which is a good option for someone who does not want to cart around a large collection of books while they travel. Genesis Bookstore offers a large collection of books in Spanish. Many of their books are classics, history books, and non-fiction, but they also offer some of the newest novels. Librería Familia

Librería Familia is a large chain of bookstores located throughout Peru. The Cusco branch specializes in ‘Peruvian and world literature, editions of humanities, social sciences, and arts.’ They offer these specialties as well as a good selection of other categories, and the bookstore also sells books published by the Centro Bartolome de Las Casas.

Librería Centros Bartolomé de las Casas

Librería Centros Bartolomé de las Casas was established in 1974. The library specializes in ‘Andean culture, history, tourism, art’ and many other areas. Today they have more than 20,000 books in addition to their journals, documents, reference books, and maps. Come here to find information on Cusco’s history or to find directions, and they also have a large reading room with internet access.

Chloe is currently attending college at Lafayette College in Pennsylvania and majoring in International Affairs and English.
