Mancora, Peru is a lovely, laid-back beach town. The picturesque views are one of the main attractions that people come here for, but there’s also some great cuisine. Here’s our guide to 10 of our favorite restaurants in Mancora.

1. Beef House

Restaurant, American, Steakhouse

Beef House offers some of the best-prepared meat in Peru. The restaurant is conveniently located on one of the main streets in Mancora. Be sure to try their delicious steak dishes. The portion are generous and although not cheap by Peruvian standards, compared to steak prices in other parts of the world, it is quite reasonable.

2. Green Eggs and Ham

Come to Green Eggs and Ham for a delicious breakfast or brunch. The restaurant is located right on the beach, and offers amazing views of the main beach in Mancora. It’s restaurant is family-friendly and they offer American style breakfast. Be sure to try their freshly made smoothies and juices. They offer huge portion sizes of pancakes, hash browns, and other traditional breakfast foods.

3. Aqua

Restaurant, Peruvian

Aqua restaurant serves award-winning seafood. Their dishes are presented beautifully and the food tastes even better. Be sure to try their famous Tuna Tartare. In addition to their seafood menu, they also offer a diverse cocktail list. Although more expensive than other restaurants in Peru, the price is worth it.

5. Papa Mo’s Milk Bar

Papa Mo’s Milk Bar is the perfect place for a warm day. They provide a much needed delicious refreshment right on the beach. Their fresh smoothies, ice cream, and milkshakes are a perfect afternoon snack. They are located right next to Green Eggs and Ham, so you can order from either menu. There are endless options of smoothies, so you can come back everyday and try something new.

6. La Sirena d’ Juan

La Sirena d’ Juan is an upscale rustic-chic restaurant with an intimate and casual atmosphere. Chef Juan Seminario is a graduate of the Lima cooking school and serves creative and diverse dishes. Their menu is seafood focused but also has other options such as baby goat and raviolis. In addition to their tasty cuisine, they also serve an international wine list and an original cocktail list.

7. Donde Teresa

Donde Teresa is known for fresh seafood dishes. Be sure to try their Smoked Aji de Gallina and Yellowfin Tuna dishes. The restaurant is located right on the beach and provides picturesque scenery.

8. Kichic

Kichic restaurant is committed to using fresh and natural ingredients. With this in mind, most of their ingredients come from local farmers and their own orchard. The restaurant offers many vegetarian options with traditional Peruvian ingredients, and their seafood bar offers freshly prepared fish and seafood dishes. Be sure to ask about their daily specials and fish of the day.

9. La Mosca en La Sopa

La Mosca en La Sopa is the perfect place for an afternoon snack. They offer freshly made smoothies and juices, and in addition to their fresh juices, they offer lunch and dinner. For a more casual lunch they offer tasty sandwiches, and for dinner, try their grilled beef and homemade pasta.
