1. O Pasquim Bar

Named after a famous satirical newspaper in Rio de Janeiro during Brazil’s dictatorship years, the bar located in the trendy neighborhood of Vila Madalena offers 2-for-1 draft beer on Wednesdays and 2-for-1 caipirinhas on Thursdays, both starting at 5PM right up until the bar closes.

2. Octavio’s Café e Bistro

Bakery, Bar, Bistro, Cafe, Pastelaria, Contemporary, Tea

Known for its coffee and pastries, Octavio’s also has lunch and dinner menus along with finger foods to eat while you listen to live music at its main Avenida Faria Lima address. On Thursdays the happy-hour crowd can enjoy 2-for-1 beers and caipirinhas starting at 4PM.

3. Bar Kraut

This German bar opened up last year and has become an instant hit with the 20-something crowd. Along with its German food, the house has drinks made with Steinhäger and Aperol. The 2-for-1 beers are served Tuesday through Thursday from 6PM–8PM.

5. Cervejaria Nacional

Bar, Pub, Pub Grub, Brazilian

The Cervejaria Nacional is a pub which has been making its own draft beer on the premises since 2011. The variety goes from the light, less filling lager to the more robust dark ale. From Monday through Friday from 5PM–7PM the house has 2-for-1 beers for its customers. In addition to the beer, the house also is proud of the food it serves with its malts, stating that all platters are carefully designed to harmonize with a given beer.

6. Boteco Todos os Santos

Bar, Brazilian, Pub Grub

The trendy bar in Vila Madalena offers 2-for-1 caipirinhas on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5PM–8PM. In addition the house offers a variety of appetizers, finger foods and barbecued meats. The bar also has live samba, pagoda and Brazilian country music on most nights of the week, and a dance floor where customers can dance the night away.
