A Giant Chicken Nugget Festival Is Coming To This City And They're The Size Of Your Head

Admit it, you’ve fantasised about chicken nuggets, we all have, and what a dream it would be to find yourself surrounded by those sacred non-descript golden hunks of chicken. Well, your fantasies are about to come true as Welcome to Thornbury in Melbourne is set to host a Chicken Nugget Festival.

Taking place on November 11, at Melbourne’s original food truck park, Welcome to Thornbury, the Chicken Nugget Festival is described as a “whole day dedicated to eating and celebrating chicken nuggets.” Not only will you be able to tuck into traditional nuggets, but you can also try limited-edition spicy nuggets, sweet nuggets, and even a nugget burger.

Of course, no nugget binge would be complete without dipping sauce and Welcome to Thornbury will be serving up their very own Szechuan sauce which is sure to excite Rick and Morty fans, as well as dipping platters courtesy of Melbourne Hot Sauce.

Rolling into the festival is Roadrunner Fried Chicken, Mr Burger, Miss Katie’s Chicken Shack, Hot Star Melbourne, The Real Jerk Food Truck, and Gorilla Grill. The festival will also feature a dessert nugget from Dip’d Gourmet Mini Donuts.

As usual, the bar will be open serving beers, wines and nug themed drink specials. Entry to the Chicken Nugget Festival is free, and kids are welcome until 8 pm. You can also bring along your dog and there is an ATM on site.
