Founded in 1972 by Lee and Mary Paulos, the first people to introduce the gyros to Utah, Greek Souvlaki is a thriving area chain with a store in Lehi. Now run by the original owners’ sons, this fast-casual, friendly restaurant delights customers. The regular gyro, a mixture of lamb and beef with onions, tomatoes and tzatziki, and pastitsio, a Greek version of lasagna, are two excellent choices. Lehi Bakery is a well-loved bake shop, best known for their square glazed doughnuts, they also offer a selection of cakes, pies, breads and cookies (try the pumpkin chocolate chip.) Mia’s Italian Ice
People flock to Mia’s Italian Ice in order to sate their sweet cravings. Mia’s specialty is frozen treats, including Italian ices and frozen custard. Making everything in-house every day, Mia’s offers over three dozen flavors of Italian ice, including black cherry, orange cream and rainbow, along with vanilla and chocolate frozen custard, and a variety of toppings and mix-ins. One Man Band
One Man Band is a fun, retro-style American diner where guests order via telephone from their tables. This lively joint serves breakfast all day. One highlight is the ‘hobo’s dream’, hash browns with diced ham, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms and cheddar, served with two eggs. Guests can try everything from burgers to chicken-fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. Sweet offerings are available as well, including creamy milk shakes in tempting flavors. Touted as the official landmark of Porter Rockwell , a colorful figure who became a bodyguard for Joseph Smith and Brigham Young , Porter’s Place is a family-owned restaurant featuring American cuisine. Tucked inside a 1915-brick building on historic Main Street, the interior space feels like taking a trip back in time, complete with an 1881 bar transported from Montana.
