Named after a prophet in the Book of Mormon, Lehi is a lovely community located in Utah
County. Full of history, the small, family-friendly city’s downtown is included on the National Register of Historic Places, and Lehi boasts several tourist attractions and, of course, great restaurants. We’ve put together a list of some of the best.

Located at Thanksgiving Point, a must-visit destination with a farm, museum and gardens, Café Fraîche is a charming French-inspired café offering guests fresh, flavorful and fast cuisine. From fresh-pressed juices to soups and salads, there is something for everyone. Founded in 1972 by Lee and Mary Paulos, the first people to introduce the gyros to Utah, Greek Souvlaki is a thriving area chain with a store in Lehi. Now run by the original owners’ sons, this fast-casual, friendly restaurant delights customers. The regular gyro, a mixture of lamb and beef with onions, tomatoes and tzatziki, and pastitsio, a Greek version of lasagna, are two excellent choices. Vegetarians have plenty to choose from as well, such as the spinach pie or veggie gyro.

Lehi Bakery is a well-loved bake shop, best known for their square glazed doughnuts, they also offer a selection of cakes, pies, breads and cookies (try the pumpkin chocolate chip.) On any given day, guests will find an assortment of doughnuts, including peanut butter, chocolate-iced and chocolate-raised-glazed varieties, alongside fried cinnamon rolls topped with chocolate glazing, apple fritters, lemon danishes and maple bars.

Mia’s Italian Ice
People flock to Mia’s Italian Ice in order to sate their sweet cravings. Mia’s specialty is frozen treats, including Italian ices and frozen custard. Making everything in-house every day, Mia’s offers over three dozen flavors of Italian ice, including black cherry, orange cream and rainbow, along with vanilla and chocolate frozen custard, and a variety of toppings and mix-ins. Combining the two is the Mama Mia, frozen custard with Italian Ice, and a selection of gourmet hot chocolates.

One Man Band is a fun, retro-style American diner where guests order via telephone from their tables. This lively joint serves breakfast all day. One highlight is the ‘hobo’s dream’, hash browns with diced ham, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms and cheddar, served with two eggs. Guests can try everything from burgers to chicken-fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. Sweet offerings are available as well, including creamy milk shakes in tempting flavors. The diner also hosts a monthly cruise-in, beginning in May and ending in September.

Touted as the official landmark of Porter Rockwell , a colorful figure who became a bodyguard for Joseph Smith and Brigham Young , Porter’s Place is a family-owned restaurant featuring American cuisine. Tucked inside a 1915-brick building on historic Main Street, the interior space feels like taking a trip back in time, complete with an 1881 bar transported from Montana. The menu, which is geared towards meat eaters, includes bison and elk burgers, steak and Alaskan snow crab legs, and marinated mesquite chicken.

Thai House is a friendly neighborhood venue specializing in Thai cuisine. A large menu includes options such as fresh spring rolls stuffed with vegetables, pho with beef meatballs, bean sprouts, green onions and cilantro and yellow curry, coconut milk, pumpkin, bell peppers, onions and basil. Sweet edibles are offered as well, including sticky rice mango.

Located in the Water Tower Plaza at Thanksgiving Point, Harvest Restaurant is a beautiful space that balances fine-dining and comfort. Complete with hand-painted trompe l’oeil walls, discerning diners can feast upon delicious American comfort dishes with a contemporary twist. Choices include the crispy buttermilk fried chicken with sautéed green and yellow beans, Yukon gold mashed potatoes and country gravy, or macaroni with smoked gouda cream, roasted cauliflower, pulled ham and toasted bread crumbs. Trellis Café is an open-air venue with stunning views of the verdant Thanksgiving Point Gardens, making it a wonderful spot to spend a relaxing afternoon with friends while sampling some of the soups, sandwiches and desserts on offer. Start with the tomato basil soup with asiago crostini, followed by the fresh seared salmon, avocado, pineapple and mixed seasonal greens, with a citrus vinaigrette.
