Pearland is the third largest city in the Houston area and is the second fastest growing city in all of Texas. This suburban city has come a long way from its prairie land days. Pearland is now home to many stores, restaurants, and neighborhoods. Culture Trip created a list of the ten best things to do and see while in this ever-growing city.
Pearland Town Center
Hotel
This outdoor shopping center is more than just a place to go and spend your paycheck. Although it is the best spot in Pearland to go to if you need to buy a new outfit or some accessories, the Pearland Town Center also has a variety of restaurants. From Red Robin to Shogun Japanese Grill and Sushi Bar to some frozen yogurt from Swirll, the shopping center is a favorite local spot to eat and hang out. On top of that, there’s a hotel, a Barnes and Noble and even a hair salon. There’s something for everyone. http://instagram.com/p/BEy0NedOmBF/
Golfing
Love to golf? You’ll find your game in Pearland. There are plenty of golf courses and country clubs from which to choose. Many Houstonians choose Pearland as the place to golf. Don’t worry about purchasing a membership, as a lot of places are open to the public. After one game, though, you’d be tempted to get one.

Eating Options
Who doesn’t love to eat? In Pearland, you’ll have what seems like an unlimited amount of choices. From Thai to barbecue to Mexican cuisine, Pearland will have something for every craving. If you’re looking for a delicious steakhouse, Pearland happens to be home to the ‘Best Steak in the U.S.,’ according to Food & Wine Magazine.
Pearland Crawfish Festival
If you’re a Texan (or anyone who isn’t allergic to shellfish), you love a good crawfish boil. The Pearland Crawfish Festival is one of Texas’ largest crawfish festivals. Complete with carnival rides, games, and crawfish, this is an event suited for everyone.

Independence Park
Park
With four tennis courts, two basketball courts, a 50-meter pool, a playground, some soccer fields, and a hike and bike trail, Independence Park is a great place to enjoy the outdoors. It’s also a great place to have a barbecue or picnic.
Pearwood Skate Center
Pearwood Skate Center has been a favorite rollerskating rink since 1976. Suitable for all ages, this one-floor indoor roller rink is open year-round. You can rent the rink out for a private party, schedule to get some private lessons or just stop by for some roller skating fun.

This temple is the only Hindu temple dedicated to the Goddess Meenakshi in the whole country – or even the only one outside of India. Many visitors from all over the world come to see its detailed beauty. http://instagram.com/p/BDlcZYAPEZg/
Killen’s Barbecue
If you want some of the best barbecue in all of Texas, Pearland is the place. The city has the second best brisket in all of America, according to the Food Network. Since its opening day in 2014, Killen’s Barbecue sees many people line up to try not only the brisket but also the sausage, ribs, and chicken. Don’t be surprised when you see that the food options don’t stop there. Make sure to check it out while you’re in town. http://instagram.com/p/BGpHRUnEA6m/
Studio Movie Grill
Planning to go out for a dinner and a movie? Why not do both at the same time? The newly opened Studio Movie Grill in Pearland offers a theater dining experience that is unlike your regular cinema outing. Alongside your movie of choice, you will be served a freshly prepared meal from their menu. Don’t forget to silence your phone.
BAKFISH Brewing Company
Brewery
If you enjoy a nice cold glass of beer, you’re going to want to give BAKFISH Brewing Company a try. You have the option to enjoy your beer on-site or ‘to go’ in the form of growler fills. The brewery is owned and operated by Pearland locals who had a passion for producing quality craft beer for the community in which they grew up. Cheers! http://instagram.com/p/BHAp714CKRi/
