Las Vegas is known for its many luxury hotels, particularly the larger-than-life characters on the Strip. But, if you’re looking for an intimate, personalized lodging experience rather than a massive casino hotel, never fear – cozy retreats from the chaos of Sin City also abound.

If you stand on the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue, you’ll be surrounded by over 150,000 hotel rooms. Mammoth resorts, such as the MGM Grand (5,000-plus rooms) and the Luxor (4,400-plus rooms), have long dominated Las Vegas. For visitors who crave a smaller hotel experience or the comfort of living like a resident, boutique hotels and bed and breakfasts are a great option.
