The Best Places to Buy Souvenirs in Denver

Stephanie Harper

No trip to Denver would be complete without taking something home with you. But there are seemingly endless shopping choices in the city, and it can be hard to know where to find the best bargains and that perfect memento or gift. Whether you’re looking for a tourist token, a unique boutique find, or some local flair, here are a few of the best places to buy souvenirs in Denver.

1. Where the Buffalo Roam

Where the Buffalo Roam in the 16th Street Mall is the perfect place to pick up Denver and Colorado-themed novelty items and clothing. You’ll find everything from screen prints of the Colorado state flag, Denver and Colorado sports teams memorabilia, to plenty of silly little novelties for the jokesters in the family. It’s fun and also reasonably priced, a definite bonus.

2. I Heart Denver

Shop, Store

If you’re looking to support Denver’s local artisans, I Heart Denver is the store for you. This local retail project features 160 artists, designers and design-focused businesses all based in Colorado. Come in and browse a variety of products, including artwork, clothing, crafts and jewelry, all made by local artists. Even better, 70% of the sales from the store, located at the Denver Pavilions right along 16th Street mall, go directly back to the artists and designers themselves.

3. Show of Hands Art Gallery and Gift Shop

Art Gallery, Shop, Store

Show of Hands in Cherry Creek North is a great place to find a unique gift by a local artist or craftsman. While not solely a souvenir shop, the store has an emphasis on supplying visitors with quirky and one-of-a-kind Colorado souvenirs, from cutting boards and bottle openers, to onesies and wall art. Show of Hands is also a working gallery with events and workshops.

5. Argonaut Wine and Liquor

It’s no secret that Colorado is home to some of the best breweries and distilleries in the country. For those who want to take home some of Colorado’s fine beer and booze selections, Argonaut Wine and Liquor offers a wide range. A bottle of Breckenridge Bourbon or six-pack from Boulder Beer might just be the perfect thing to bring home.

Since you are here, we would like to share our vision for the future of travel - and the direction Culture Trip is moving in.

Culture Trip launched in 2011 with a simple yet passionate mission: to inspire people to go beyond their boundaries and experience what makes a place, its people and its culture special and meaningful — and this is still in our DNA today. We are proud that, for more than a decade, millions like you have trusted our award-winning recommendations by people who deeply understand what makes certain places and communities so special.

Increasingly we believe the world needs more meaningful, real-life connections between curious travellers keen to explore the world in a more responsible way. That is why we have intensively curated a collection of premium small-group trips as an invitation to meet and connect with new, like-minded people for once-in-a-lifetime experiences in three categories: Culture Trips, Rail Trips and Private Trips. Our Trips are suitable for both solo travelers, couples and friends who want to explore the world together.

Culture Trips are deeply immersive 5 to 16 days itineraries, that combine authentic local experiences, exciting activities and 4-5* accommodation to look forward to at the end of each day. Our Rail Trips are our most planet-friendly itineraries that invite you to take the scenic route, relax whilst getting under the skin of a destination. Our Private Trips are fully tailored itineraries, curated by our Travel Experts specifically for you, your friends or your family.

We know that many of you worry about the environmental impact of travel and are looking for ways of expanding horizons in ways that do minimal harm - and may even bring benefits. We are committed to go as far as possible in curating our trips with care for the planet. That is why all of our trips are flightless in destination, fully carbon offset - and we have ambitious plans to be net zero in the very near future.
