Dagny’s Coffee Co is a neighborhood spot that is very simple in its charm. It has everything that coffee-goers could want, from comfortable seating to quick WiFi, no florescent lighting and a laid back atmosphere. Their coffee selection has a good range and they even offer some smoothies and blended coffee options. Customers can satisfy their sweet tooth with some of the home-baked goodies, which go from cinnamon rolls to brownies to lemon bars. The wall-to-ceiling windows allow for great natural lighting and a fine spot for people watching.

Milt’s Coffee Shop

Milt’s Coffee Shop has been a landmark in Bakersfield since 1964. Amazingly, it is still run by Milt and his family even after all these years. One can see the family tradition that goes into the food, service and atmosphere of Milt’s. The breakfast menu is a great deal, with huge portions food at an excellent price, while the coffee is always hot, fresh, and ready to serve!

Covenant Coffee

Covenant Coffee is a great local coffee shop with a funky and inviting atmosphere. There are couches to lounge on and plenty of tables perfect for staying productive or reading a book. One of the few spots that roasts their own coffee in town, customers here can taste the quality in every sip. They have plenty of great drinks and some of the best lattes in town, including some with truly artistic designs on top.

Farmacy Cafe

Found in the lobby of the boutique Padre Hotel, Farmacy Cafe is another great coffee spot in Bakersfield. The cafe is known for giving customers that much needed caffeine boost with their popular espresso drinks. They even sell some spiked coffee drinks to make a boring day a little more exciting, with cups of Irish or Mexican coffee. Most people take their coffee to-go as the cage opens its doors at 6am on the nose, making it a perfect choice for early risers.
