Hang gliding

USA Today reports that there are seven flying sites on the island, located in Canovanas, Gurabo, Morovis, Isabela, Arecibo, Guayama and Penuelas, so that adventurers have many options to choose from. Luckily, due to the weather in Puerto Rico, it’s usually possible to fly throughout the year.

Zip lining

Zip lining is a popular activity for locals and visitors in Puerto Rico, with a handful of companies offering zip lining adventures throughout the island: Batey Zipline Adventure in Utuado, Toro Verde Nature Adventure Park in Orocovis, and Rainforest Zipline Park in Rio Grande, among others. While all of the zip lining companies have different packages, Toro Verde has the distinction of housing the largest zipline in the world. Called The Monster (El Monstruo), it spans 2.5 kilometers or 1.57 miles, according to the company website. An amazing opportunity to get a bird’s eye view of this beautiful island.

Scuba Diving

Puerto Rico is an excellent location for scuba diving and some of the best places to dive are in Humacao, Fajardo, Palomino Island, Condado and Mona Island. Rock climbing

There are four quality places to rock climb in Puerto Rico, three of which are made of limestone and one of basalt: Cerro Las Tetas in Salinas, Caliche in Ciales, Rosario in San German, and Nuevo Bayamon in Bayamon. Depending on the weather and each individual climber, it’s advisable for adventurers to bring their own sizeable supply of chalk, according to Aventuras Tierra Adentro. Numerous kiteboarding companies can be found in or near the San Juan Metro area, including GoodWinds Watersports and Kitesurf Center, and 15 Knots Kiteboarding School in Carolina.
