Can’t get enough of Emmy-Award winning RuPaul’s Drag Race, because really, who can? No need to fret; tears will only compromise the adhesive on your lashes or ruin your pointillism-inspired eye makeup. You can see season 9’s contestants, along with seasoned veterans perform live in the Werq the World Tour. Following a sold out 16-city tour throughout Europe, Werq the World is coming to North America, and fans will be lining up to get tickets. Here’s what you need to know.
RuPaul’s Drag Race judge (and den mother) Michelle Visage will host the the tour, featuring performances by Alyssa Edwards, Detox, Kim Chi, Latrice Royale, Shangela, Violet Chachki, Valentina, Peppermint, Trinity, and season 9 winner Sasha Velour.
Voss Events in collaboration with VH1 and World of Wonder will produce the tour that will launch October 12 in San Diego and end October 29 in Chicago. In a press statement, event producer Brandon Voss says, “It’s been a year since the last U.S. tour, and these queens are coming with fierce new looks, never-before-seen theatrics, and over-the-top production numbers that will leave fans gagging.”

Fans will be pleased to see season 9’s Valentina, who for many, was the front runner until her unfortunate lip sync debacle. It will be interesting to see if she’s as lovely as she appeared on the show, as there’s some talk of her being a mean drama queen in real life. Another fan favorite, Peppermint, will be performing live and “werqing it.” Also, expect to see Trinity, whose southern pageant personality was read as fake as her (silicone) body, but if ever a girl was made for touring, it’s Trinity. Let’s just hope her lip sync goes better than it did on the finale.
Season 9 winner, Sasha Velour, will be on tour to wow fans with her flair for high fashion. Says Voss in the aforementioned press statement, “It will be especially interesting for fans to witness how the season 9 queens stack up against the veterans.”
