Look out for the adjoining chocolate shop where they make their own artisan chocolates: they’re the perfect souvenir to take home for friends, if you can resist finishing them yourself.

In an art déco Swiss house, Bistro Gentiana will wow you with its elegant yet cozy atmosphere, and meticulous attention to detail in the dishes. Come here to dine on traditional Swiss fare, including treats like raclette and cheese fondue. Conveniently located in the center of town, Kaffee Klatsch is a great café for both breakfast and lunch, and offers typical American fare. Think simple, satisfying standards like ham and eggs, toast, sandwiches, salads, muffins and cakes. Both the food and coffee are of excellent quality, and the décor is cozy and chic. Make sure to arrive early (or late) to beat the noon rush; this café is especially popular around lunchtime.

Ducan should definitely be on your radar if you are a meat lover. This cozy chalet-style operation offers hearty home cooking at its finest, specializing in exceptionally tender cuts of meat and slow-cooked wonders. Of special note are the homemade lamb and beef soup, and of course the fondue. They also host a full beer garden, serving plenty of refreshing brews which pair perfectly with their cuisine. Their terrace is especially lovely during the summer months, offering breathtaking alpine views.

Located at the mountain’s edge, Burgrestaurant Chalet Guggel offers great Alpine people-watching where you can sit back and play spectator to skiers rushing down the slopes.
