Ducan

Ducan should definitely be on your radar if you are a meat lover. This cozy chalet-style operation offers hearty home cooking at its finest, specializing in exceptionally tender cuts of meat and slow-cooked wonders. Of special note are the homemade lamb and beef soup, and of course the fondue. They also host a full beer garden, serving plenty of refreshing brews which pair perfectly with their cuisine. Their terrace is especially lovely during the summer months, offering breathtaking alpine views.

Burgrestaurant Chalet Guggel

Located at the mountain’s edge, Burgrestaurant Chalet Guggel offers great Alpine people-watching where you can sit back and play spectator to skiers rushing down the slopes. If you’ve just come off the slopes yourself, you can warm up here with rich hot chocolate and a delicious piece of cake, or have a hearty traditional Swiss meal. The menu includes several flavorful, filling sausage and chicken. The heavy wooden tables and animal rugs only add to the atmosphere of rugged, rustic coziness.

If you’ve had your fill of fondue and sausage, come to Goldenen Drachen for a change of pace. A clear divergence from the traditional wooden interior of most Swiss chalets, Goldenen Drachen offers its guests a spacious, modern ambience, and the very best Chinese cuisine in the city. Expect an explosion of flavor in every dish, and meticulous attention to aesthetic detail in both the cooking and the décor: every single chair was personally designed by the interior decorating team Fischbach & Aberegg, as well as the beautifully crafted partitions detailed with fine Chinese carvings and an elegant bird cage motif that’s unique to the venue. A far cry from processed, salty takeout, this restaurant boasts the best in haute Chinese cuisine; that said, if you want to up your takeaway game considerably, they do allow orders for pickup.
