Villa Sassa

Al Lido

Restaurant, Swiss, Italian, Fast Food

A young, hip beachfront restaurant, Al Lido offers a typical Swiss-Italian style brunch. To complement the Italian side, there’s an emphasis on sweet dishes, pies, cakes, biscotti, and several others. For fans of savoury snacks, there are around 10 cheeses to choose from, a decadent array of red wines, and lastly, not to be discounted, the wonderful view from the beach-terrace of the lovely Lake of Lugano.

Beck

The Argentinian owner of Beck puts a fresh spin on the traditional Continental brunch by also adding Argentinian specialities to the mouth-watering buffet. The buffet has a variety of dolce, the Italian sweet dishes, as well as savoury foods such as bacon, salami cuts, various cheeses, and the home speciality, the Argentinian dishes. Expect a homey, cosy atmosphere with delicate china and charming finishing touches.

Hotel International Au Lac

The breakfast buffet served at Hotel International Au Lac goes on till 11.30, and is a sumptuous late breakfast. A traditional Continental breakfast with elements of the Swiss ‘Zmorgi’, the buffet has a variety of breads, cheeses, croissants, cakes and biscuits, cold cuts, bacon, quiche, and scrambled egg. Those who like an American-style breakfast will also enjoy the variety of savouries offered alongside the dolce.

Parco Paradiso

The elegant hotel of Parco Paradiso serves up a decadent brunch every Sunday courtesy of its Chef Andrea Ossola. The breakfast buffet goes beyond the traditional Continental breakfast to include other breakfast specialities such as the Eggs Benedict and seasonal salads. However, there’s a variety of other exciting dishes on offer. Marinated feta cheese with olives and dried tomatoes, artichoke tart and shrimp cocktail, and several more. It’s a brunch not to be missed.

Villa Sassa

There are many reasons to visit Villa Sassa, including its amazing spa offerings and the rooms. However, brunch is a strong (and possibly top) contender. The food has a cold entrée and hot main dishes, as well as sweet desserts, it’s more of a full, three-course meal than a traditional brunch. Additionally, the views from Villa Sassa are stunning and the draw for many. Not to mention, the views are a great accompaniment to your filling brunch.
