Madrid is full of romantic, fairytale like spots for an unforgettable proposal. Here’s a list of places in Spain’s capital that would make the perfect location to pop the question.
A giant building made of glass with sunlight streaming in, surrounded by green trees and blooming buds can make for a very special proposal. However, this iconic building can be pretty crowded when the weather is nice, so plan to have all eyes on you if you choose the Palacio de Cristal to propose.
The most cliché of all proposals (but still, girls love it) is asked at the top of the Eiffel Tower. An interesting take on this would be to propose at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower replica at Madrid’s Parque Europa, a green space featuring monument replicas from all over Europe. The only reason you’d have to pop the question at the bottom of the tower is because unfortunately, you’re not allowed to go the top of this version of the Eiffel Tower.

It’s clear the Retiro Park is full of memorable locations perfect for a proposal. For a bit of privacy, proposing on a rented rowboat in the middle of the lake offers a romantic, semi-private experience. This would be perfect if you’re a couple who loves boats or water.
On the Teleferico, Madrid's cable car
For panoramic views of the city down below, propose in Madrid’s cable car, the Teleferico. Just make sure to work up the nerve beforehand, as the ride is only about 10 minutes long. If you dawdle, you may be on terra firma before you know it and the proposal becomes decidedly less romantic in the lobby or at the ticket counter.
Sunset might just be the most romantic time for a proposal, especially at the Templo de Debod. Getting down on one knee in front of a beautiful Egyptian temple as the sky turns hues of reds and oranges will make the proposal an unforgettable one. Even better, bring a bottle of wine to enjoy afterwards to celebrate your future nuptials.
