The stunning beaches, wild nightlife, nature and otherworldly volcanic landscapes are just a few reasons tourists flock to the Canary Island of Lanzarote. While the archipelago is definitely not in short supply of fantastic accommodation options, there are some fantastic budget-friendly hotels available for those not wanting to break the bank. Here’s our pick of the best cheap hotels in Lanzarote.

1. Hotel Diamar and Business Centre

Found in the popular resort town of Arrecife on the south coast of the island, the Hotel Diamar and Business Centre is a classic beachfront hotel in Lanzarote. Inside, it combines everything you’d expect from a hotel, including a large lobby, light-filled cafe and smart meeting rooms. The rooms are spacious rooms and modern, decorated in neutral tones and complemented by colourful modern art.

2. Galeon Playa

Situated on the Costa Teguise, on the central southern coast of the island, the Galeon Playa is a large modern resort with budget prices. It comprises 175 bright white apartments set around a lagoon-like pool. Each apartment is spacious and stylish with pops of colour in the artwork and soft furnishings. You’ll also find three more outdoor pools, a restaurant and family-friendly amenities such as a kids’ club and playground.

Located in the area of Playa Honda, close to Lanzarote Airport, Apartamentos Boya Beach could be a great option for beach lovers who don’t want to have to travel too far. There are two family-sized apartments – one with a seaside theme in blue and white and anchor motifs – and the other in elegant silver. The decor is sleek and stylish for a budget apartment, and amenities include seating areas and kitchens.

4. Apartamentos Tisalaya

These light and simple apartments are located in Puerto del Carmen on the south coast of the island and are just a short walk from the beach. Consisting of a series of white and green buildings fronted by a large outdoor pool, they offer great value for money. Inside they are basic, yet comfortable, featuring one bedroom, one large lounge and a kitchenette. They can sleep three adults or a family with two children. Added extras include a gym, solarium and games room.

Located on the Costa Teguise, this three-star adults-only property is a collection of apartments set around a large outdoor pool. Each apartment is sleek, yet simple and features kitchenettes, dining areas and private terraces with pool views. Besides the pool, other amenities include a rooftop terrace, tennis courts, restaurant and a small supermarket.

6. El Charco Suites

Stylish and chic, El Charco suites can be found in the resort town of Arrecife, on the south coast of the island. Housed in a traditional whitewashed and black stone building, it features just four thoughtfully-designed apartments, each individually decorated with stylish items of furniture, patterned soft furnishings and Moroccan-inspired lamps. The suites are spacious also feature kitchens and living/dining areas. But that’s not all, head out onto the terrace and you’ll find a green turfed area complete with sun loungers, swinging chairs, and even a hot tub.
