Moon Knight – Egypt

Of all the MCU shows to drop on Disney+ in recent years, Moon Knight has left the biggest impression in terms of its choice of location. The entire plot revolves around classic Egyptian mythology, history and even a bit of geography. Admittedly most of the show’s interiors are shot in Budapest – a favourite shooting location for Marvel generally, which you can also visit with Culture Trip – and even the desert sequences are filmed in Jordan, also a favourite playground for the industry. However, the heart of the show revolves around the magic of ancient Egypt, and the plot revolves massively around Cairo and the Great Pyramids of Giza, both of which you’ll visit at the start of our Ultimate Egypt trip. Having explored the iconic sights that Oscar Isaac and various otherworldly beings traverse in the north of Egypt, we’ll head south on a luxury Nile river cruise, stopping off at various ancient sites, including Luxor Temple, also known as the Temple of Khonsu – Khonsu being the mysterious Moon god with a connection to Isaac’s Steven.
