Bangkok is a paradise for foodies, as almost every kind of cuisine can be found in Thailand‘s capital. If you are in the mood for Japanese cuisine, we have the list for you. Check out these top Japanese restaurants.

Zuma Head Chef

Zuma

Bar, Restaurant, Japanese

Located in the heart of Bangkok at the St. Regis Hotel, Zuma offers an elegant, yet fun, dining experience. The restaurant takes on an izakaya-style of dining which takes on the character of a Japanese pub. Choose some exciting dishes from the grill, the sushi counter and the main kitchen. The style of dining offers something similar to a tapas style where all the dishes can be shared between friends. Embrace this exciting dining experience where dishes are brought to the table all night.

Step into this large and welcoming restaurant to see food everywhere, from beautifully arranged sashimi to oysters to expensive crabs. Tsu & Nami provide guests with the perfect outlet to treat themselves to a large range of sweet cakes. Tsu is renowned for its seafood and sushi. If you tire of that, head over through the sake bar to Nami and find the live teppankayi cooking station. Have a pot of shabu shabu to finish off.

Uomasa

Restaurant, Japanese, Sushi

Hidden away in Nihonmachi, a Japanese town, Uomasa is incredibly popular with expats from Japan. One of the few establishments to actually get their fish from Tokyo, Uomasa offers some of the freshest fish in Bangkok. While the dinner is incredibly expensive, the lunch options are quite reasonably priced and are of the same exquisite quality. Choose to sit near the crowded sushi counter, on classic tables and chairs, or even on a tatami floor to get that extra authentic feel.

Yamazato

Located in the Okura Prestige Hotel in Bangkok, Yamazato serves delicious and authentic Japanese cuisine. They offer a very wide selection of both sushi and sashimi, all of a high and excellent quality. The set lunch is incredibly great value for money and everything comes beautifully presented. This is definitely a fine-dining restaurant with great options for adults as well as a child-friendly menu. Sitting on the 24th floor, the view from the tall glass windows is incredible.

Above Eleven

Slightly difficult to find, this rooftop bar and restaurant is definitely worth the search. Sitting on the 11th floor, Above Eleven offers great views of Thailand. Their warm and welcoming team is incredibly attentive and friendly. Choose to sit outside on their rooftop or hang about in their equally beautiful main dining area. The food is a new fusion of Japanese and Peruvian – an eclectic mix that seems to contrast and complement each other in the perfect way. Dig into some Peruvian-style sashimi or one of their delicious signature rolls.
