Escape the bustling, busy city from incredible heights at one of the many rooftop pools located throughout Bangkok. Whether you need a breather from the polluted sidewalks of Sukhumvit or need a refreshing break from Thailand’s brutal heat, rooftop pools are here to offer you an oasis away from the city. There are a number of hotels with pools that have these panoramic views, some with more impressive views than those at Bangkok’s most famous rooftop bars. So we think it’s time to take a look at the five best rooftop pools in Bangkok.

Sivatel Bangkok

Hotel

Sivatel Bangkok

In the heart of the city, you’ll find Sivatel Bangkok. This hotel homes 75 boutique-style suites with modern amenities. Its prime location offers guests easy access to some of the most luxurious shopping in Bangkok. It’s not the shopping that intrigues us, however: it’s Sivatel Bangkok’s spectacular pool. While Bangkok has its fair share of rooftop bars and restaurants, the Sivatel Bangkok rooftop pool offers its guests some of the best views of the City of Angels. This infinity pool will have you feeling like you’re actually swimming amongst the skyscrapers. The hotel offers its guests access to their premier health club and spa. There’s also a cafe and restaurant, cooking up some delicious meals to keep you full while lounging poolside. To get here, take the BTS Skytrain to Phloen Chit.

The infinity pool is located on the 14th floor of the hotel, with panoramic views of the city. Rooms start at ฿2,999 (about $85). From the hotel, you’ll have direct access to the BTS Skytrain stop Surasak. On the fifth floor of the hotel is the Glass House, the hotel’s on-site dining area. You can chow down here all day, with a breakfast buffet being served up in the morning, an international lunch buffet and an a la carte menu to choose from. It does cuisines from all over the world, such as Thai, Japanese, and Chinese favorites.

Maitria Hotel Sukhumvit 18

Hotel, Suite Hotel, Chain Hotel, Love Hotel

The Maitria Hotel Sukhumvit 18 has a small but stunning rooftop pool. Lounge in one of the comfortable reclining sun beds as some of Bangkok’s tallest skyscrapers rise high above you. The green foliage surrounding the pool in addition to the concrete jungle just outside its vicinity is an awe-inspiring sight. This hotel is located in the city’s best shopping and dining hot spots. There are 129 guest rooms to choose from, all with modern facilities that’ll make sure you have a comfortable stay while traveling in Bangkok. Located in central Bangkok is SO Sofitel Bangkok, one of the most happening hotels in the city. The urban hotel overlooks the famous Lumpini Park. It gives its visitors easy access to many of the most popular attractions found in Bangkok. The hotel combines both French décor and Thai hospitality to its services. There are 238 rooms, each one with a distinguished theme of water, earth, wood, or metal. The rooms are all graced with floor to ceiling windows that offer guests panoramic views of Lumpini Park, where you can find monitor lizards sunbathing throughout. The hotel also has an executive lounge, a rooftop bar and restaurant to accommodate its stunning pool, a market-style restaurant, four meeting rooms, a ballroom…and more!

Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok

The Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok has it all: from a 24-hour fitness center to an executive lounge and even sightseeing tours available for booking. One thing’s for certain; you won’t find a shortage of things to do at this spectacular hotel. While all of these amenities are certainly an added bonus, this hotel makes our list because of its spectacular view from its rooftop pool, Lapse. Yep, the pool has a name. See the city like never before while soaking in the rays of Bangkok’s sun. The Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok is just a five-minute walk from the BTS Skytrain station Phrom Phong. It’s at this station where you’ll find some of the best shopping malls in Bangkok, including Emporium.

KEEN TO EXPLORE THE WORLD?

Connect with like-minded people on our premium trips curated by local insiders and with care for the world

Since you are here, we would like to share our vision for the future of travel - and the direction Culture Trip is moving in.

Culture Trip launched in 2011 with a simple yet passionate mission: to inspire people to go beyond their boundaries and experience what makes a place, its people and its culture special and meaningful — and this is still in our DNA today. We are proud that, for more than a decade, millions like you have trusted our award-winning recommendations by people who deeply understand what makes certain places and communities so special.

Increasingly we believe the world needs more meaningful, real-life connections between curious travellers keen to explore the world in a more responsible way. That is why we have intensively curated a collection of premium small-group trips as an invitation to meet and connect with new, like-minded people for once-in-a-lifetime experiences in three categories: Culture Trips, Rail Trips and Private Trips. Our Trips are suitable for both solo travelers, couples and friends who want to explore the world together.

Culture Trips are deeply immersive 5 to 16 days itineraries, that combine authentic local experiences, exciting activities and 4-5* accommodation to look forward to at the end of each day. Our Rail Trips are our most planet-friendly itineraries that invite you to take the scenic route, relax whilst getting under the skin of a destination. Our Private Trips are fully tailored itineraries, curated by our Travel Experts specifically for you, your friends or your family.

We know that many of you worry about the environmental impact of travel and are looking for ways of expanding horizons in ways that do minimal harm - and may even bring benefits. We are committed to go as far as possible in curating our trips with care for the planet. That is why all of our trips are flightless in destination, fully carbon offset - and we have ambitious plans to be net zero in the very near future.
