A holiday is never complete without going shopping in different malls and shopping centers. That’s why we’ve gathered the best places for shopping in Muscat, where visitors can buy local and international products as well as traditional Omani souvenirs.

City Center, Seeb

Covering an area of 60,500 sqm of retail space, the City Center in Al Seeb is one of the largest and oldest malls of Muscat. It has over 160 international brands, 24 international dining outlets, an entertainment area called “Magic Planet”, and 10-screen VOX Cinemas.

Muscat Grand Mall is another famous mall in the city, which is located in Dohat Al Adab St. The two-storey mall has a modern side with different modern stores, while the other side is a traditional Arabic souk. The mall has more than 150 retail stores, a supermarket and other service shops. It also offers different cafes and restaurants in its food court, three cinemas and a children’s entertainment area with electronic games and rides. The second floor of Muscat Grand Mall offers marvelous views over the sea.

Spread over 72,000 sqm, Oman Avenues Mall is one of the largest and most popular malls in Oman. It has 150 different shops of famous international and regional brands, including LC Waikiki, Next, H&M, MAC and others. Located in the heart of Muscat on the Sultan Qaboos St., the mall also has a large food court, cinema, gym, bowling alley and a children’s entertainment area called Funtazmo. Visitors can enjoy shopping for all sorts of products; electronics, clothes, jewelry, etc., or relax in the different cafes and coffee shops.

Sabco Center

Sabco Center is the first mall to be established in Oman, and is one of the shopping centers included in the Qurum Shopping Complex. The center has several shops of international brands as well as traditional stores that sells handcrafts like: silver crafts, kaftans, hand-woven carpets, hand-made brocades and copperware.

The souk looks like a maze, and locals call it the “Market of Darkness” as sunlight is blocked inside the souk for the tiny alleys and streets that lead to it.
