If your stomach starts rumbling in the middle of the night in Mumbai there are plenty of places still open to fill it. We list some of the best spots for late-night food in the city.

Persian Darbar is know for non-vegetarian food, and great ambience. It’s located in Byculla and is the perfect sit-down restaurant, with well-executed Mughlai food for the after-hours crowd. Open until 2.30am.

When it comes to midnight munchies, Ayub’s is worth a trip for its spicy Tandoori kebabs and rolls. The menu is designed to excite with plenty of variety, but you can stick to the standards; try the great paneer tikka, mushroom, and chicken rolls. Open until 4am.

Bademiya

If you are in South Mumbai, stop by Bademiya to experience midnight food perfection. This legendary, crowded, and noisy roadside food joint, in the lanes of Colaba, serves a variety of Mughlai and Tandoori food items. The Reshmi Paratha is a must-order. Open until 3am.

Bachelor’s

Bachelor’s is an iconic roadside ice cream parlor turned dessert and fast food joint for night owls. It is located opposite Girgaon Chowpatty and adjacent to the Churni Road Railway Station, with waiters hovering all over the road to take orders. Try a host of fast food items here, but don’t forget the fresh fruit juices, chocolate milkshakes, and strawberry creams. It is also one of the only places in the city serving grilled sandwiches and pizzas after midnight.

Zaffran

If you are looking to sit down and enjoy a blow-out meal, visit Zaffran for its amazing Biryanis. It is known for its non-vegetarian food, but there are many great options for vegetarians as well. Open until 3.40am.

Amar Juice Centre

Amar Juice Centre is known for its pav haji.Head to its location on the 1st Road of Juhu next to Irla, a suburb within Vile Parle West, to try it. It’s a hard place to miss, with all the cars lined up in front of it of patrons doing the same. The fresh seasonal juices are good, too. Open till 1.30am.

Khurshid

When most other food joints in the city have long closed, Khurshid, a small stall on the road, is open until 5am. It is an extremely popular egg joint for midnighters. From egg bhurji to pav bhaji to Biryani, people line up along the road to pick up food at Khurshid.

Sagar Chinese

If you’re in the mood for roadside Indian Chinese, drive up to Sagar Chinese on the 10th Road in Juhu. Sagar will make your dish in front of you, and with customizations. Do try the Schezwan Rice. Open until 4am.

Sigdi

Looking for some take away to eat in the car? Head over to Sigdi in Bandra. You can also try the other foods, on its menu but Sigdi’s rolls are the food that everyone really comes here for. Open until 1am.

Mini Punjab

While Mini Punjab is a restaurant during the daytime, after hours the restaurant closes and serves from the front counter. The menu is reduced, but it will be big enough for your hunger. This place is hard to miss, as there are many people around it in the late hours. Open until 1.30am.
