Hostels in Paracas have needed to keep up with the large amount of tourists who are quickly making this small beach town one of Peru’s most popular destinations. We take a look at the best hostels in town, for those eager to see the beauty of Paracas and the Ballestas Islands.

1. Paracas Backpackers House

Backpackers House has done a great job at creating common areas for people to hang out and socialize in. You’ll find a courtyard with plenty of chairs and hammocks for relaxation, and a rooftop terrace with a great view of the ocean; the perfect spot to catch the sunset. They offer standard private and shared dorm rooms, all of which are basic. From here you can organize any tour of Paracas and the islands.

2. Kokopelli Hostel Paracas

Kokopelli is the gold standard of hostels in Paracas. By far the most popular with backpackers, you’ll need to make a reservation, especially during the high season. Aside for the pool and well-stocked bar, Kokopelli’s greatest draw are its dorm rooms. Each dorm guest has a “pod,” an enclosed space with a light and personal window that allows for maximum privacy and comfort. It’s the kind of hostel you’ll want stay an extra night at, just to hang out.

3. Willy's House

Willy’s is a popular option for budget travelers and offers some of the cheapest rates in town for decent lodging. The rooms are basic and the grounds are small, but you get what you pay for. They also have a kitchen that’s open to guests, which true budget travelers will appreciate.

4. Paracas 360 Eco Hostel

The only eco-hostel in Paracas, their aim is to decrease the impact of tourists on the beautiful landscape. Here you’ll be staying in a camper with a private bathroom. The campers range from dorm beds to larger private rooms. Guests’s favorite part is the outdoor area, which includes a large bar and a pool to hang out at during the day. They also have a kitchen you can cook your own meals in.

5. Icthus Paracas Backpackers

This family owned hostel is another budget option in Paracas, and they take pride in their clean facilities. You can choose between dorms and private rooms, while there is also a nice area with hammocks to hang out in. Having a kitchen is always a plus, and the hostel also has a breakfast option. The location is right in town, so you’ll easily be able to grab some food or supplies.
