Arequipa is a city that, after arriving, you just can’t leave. The city captivates with its massive Plaza de Armas and the natural beauty that surrounds it. It is one of the places to stay an unexpected night, if to do nothing more than drink a cocktail and soak up the vibes of the city. Here is our guide to the best places to enjoy a world class cocktail and enjoy the enchanting city of Arequipa.

1. Terraza Arequipa Suits Plaza Hotel

Bar, Restaurant

This is the roof-top bar and restaurant of a hotel with the best views of Arequipa which is also perfect for sunsets. The bar and restaurant rise high above Arequipa’s Plaza de Armas and gives you sweeping, unobstructed views of the city. It isn’t on the list because of their world class cocktails, but because of their unrivaled views.

2. Pisco Museum

Without a doubt, the best place to have quality, craft cocktails in Peru. They are a well known Peruvian bar chain with locations in all the major cities in Peru. Pisco Museum always has a relaxed atmosphere rivaling any craft cocktail lounge you’ll find in any other country. Their cocktail list is extensive with Pisco takes on all the classics and some unique drinks that you’ll only find at the Pisco Museum.

They have one of the best beer lists in Arequipa – including IPAs, stouts, pale ales, wheat beers – and a delicious cocktail list. They have special Gringa cocktails and, of course, all of the classics.
