The Best Bars in Chosica, Peru

Sing along to some of your favorite songs, in English or Spanish, in a fun, party atmosphere. You can do the karaoke if you’d like or just hangout with a bucket of beer and one of their daily specials. It’s more of a club than a sit down and chat sort of bar, especially on more crowded weekends. It’s also an excellent place to watch a big sporting event—but come early, because seats near the the televisions tend to fill up quick.

This is your classic Peruvian bar: wooden tables, Pilsen sponsored wooden chairs, and that’s it. You’ll find people drinking here all throughout the day, whether they’re sharing 2 liters of Inca Cola or a couple beers, there’s always someone hanging out at the tables. There’s nothing flashy about this spot and there are no drink specials, but it is 100% Peruvian and they’ll have the best prices on beers.

Right across the street from the plaza de armas, Sativa Lounge is as close as it gets to all the action. This is one of your more conventional style bars, with servers and a bar tender, which isn’t always the case in Peru. You can order pitchers of beer or an entire bottle of rum to split between friends. They also have televisions for any sporting event and offer karaoke.

This karaoke bar is one of the most popular in Chosica, so it can get quite crowded and oftentimes has a line. This is definitely the place to go if you’re looking for a lively atmosphere and lots of dancing. If you had a quiet, romantic bar in mind, look elsewhere.

Agora is another one of Chosica’s heavy-weight bars. It’s a little further from the city center, but it’s one of the most popular spots, so expect lines and a wait. On the plus side, it’s a great place to meet the locals of Chosica. They also offer nightly DJs and drink specials. If you go to Agora, the chances are that you’ll be partying all night.
