Bariloche is one of the most picturesque places in Argentina, and as such, it is a haven for romantics from all over the world. From the stunning scenery to the beer and the chocolate, there is something for everyone, no matter what or whom they love. We check out the best places in Bariloche to take someone on a date.

Cerro Campanario

The view from Cerro Campanario

Although this may not be the most private place to go with your date, the view at the top of this 35 minute hike (or alternatively you can get a cable car to the top if you don’t feel like walking) is the perfect place to take your paramour. The 360 degree view from the summit is incomparable, and you can marvel at the wealth of lakes and forests below before heading inside to warm yourselves with a coffee in the cafe, which also offers panoramic views of the scenes outside.

Butterfly Restaurant

Restaurant, Argentina, European, South American

This beautiful little restaurant is one for lovers and foodies. Located right on the edge of Lake Nahuel Huapi, the setting itself is impossibly romantic, and the interior decoration of this pretty eatery is candlelit and cosy, but without being too informal. Go for the tasting menu with the wine pairings for the perfect night out with your lover.

Bahia Serena

As the name would suggest, the Bahia Serena, or the Serene Bay, is one of the loveliest places in Bariloche. Located at Kilometer 12 along Avenida Bustillo, this inlet boasts a charming beach that is protected from the elements by the hills that enclose it on either side. Bring a picnic blanket and a bottle of wine and enjoy one of the best views Bariloche has to offer.

Rapa Nui

Cafe

What is more romantic than going to get ice-cream with your crush? You can pretend you are 16 again at this famous chocolate shop, which also has a cafe and even a chocolate fountain. One of the most popular places in the city of Bariloche to get an ice-cream, you can also take your plus-one ice-skating, as Rapa Nui has its very own ice rink located at the back of the shop.

Patagonia Cervecería

Lovers of beer can’t miss out on this incredible brewery, which is perched on a hillside on the Circuito Chico route. As you approach the purpose-built beer house, you will pass row after row of barley grown out the front, and after passing through the darkened interior of the bar itself, you will be treated to one of the most spectacular views in the area. Grab two of the loungers on the grass and settle in for a few hours while you order food, drink delicious local beer and watch the sunset over the lakes.

Patagonia, Circuito Chico Km 24,7, San Carlos de Bariloche, Río Negro, Argentina +54 294 445-0124

Llao Llao

Llao Llao is not light on your wallet, but if you are looking for a once in a lifetime experience with your significant other, a night spent at this famous hotel is not to be passed up. A temporary home to international presidents while they are staying in Bariloche, Llao Llao offers old school Alpine glamour, with all the modern conveniences you would expect from a luxurious hotel. Take afternoon tea in the conservatory and take in the view over the patio beyond.

Nido del Condor Spa

Nothing says “I love you” like a spa day, so why not treat your other half to a day in the Nido del Condor Spa? If you have spent a few days trekking in Bariloche, no doubt your legs and body will need a bit of RnR, and there is no better place to do so than in this incredible spa, which has a swimming pool that opens out into the garden with incredible views of the lake below.
