1. Mr Wong

Walking down the isolated laneway into Mr Wong augurs wonderful things to come. Exposed brick and dim lighting provide a trendy ambience that is perfect for date nights or special occasions with a large crowd. Asian cuisines dominates the menu at this Shanghai-inspired den, and the fried rice is spectacular. The menu is designed for sharing. 2. Bennelong

Bennelong is famous for its location inside the iconic Sydney Opera House, while the menu boasts the finest Australian produce and wine. Celebrated Australian chef Peter Gilmore is at the helm. The restaurant is named after Woollarawarre Bennelong, an Aboriginal man who was an interlocutor between the British and indigenous Australians.

This CBD restaurant is a Sydney institution, and with views of the entire harbour and Circuital Quay, it is easy to see why. Perched on the top floor of Custom House, the al fresco dining area looks out to the Sydney Harbour Bridge; Café Sydney is a popular choice for New Year’s Eve for the views alone. Notable chef Neil Perry has created something special with this menu, which showcases Chinese provinces. The Australian Asian fusion food is designed to be shared.
