Celebrate LGBTIQ Culture At ChillOut Festival
The biggest LGBTIQ regional fest in the southern hemisphere returns to Daylesford, Victoria, for a (Labour Day) weekend of music, food, and fun. Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, ChillOut Festival has come a long way from its humble beginnings in 1997 and is now the biggest and longest-running Country Queer Pride event in regional Australia. Highlights include the Worthy Cause Slow Lunch, a charity lunch to raise money in support of the grassroots organisation; Riding For The Disabled Victoria, an afternoon of high-speed full-contact Roller Derby; and CREAM 2016 featuring ARIA Best Female Artist nominee Abbe May. With music gigs running all weekend, a cabaret show, a pool party, and high tea together in a relaxed and down-to-earth atmosphere, the only thing you won’t find here is boredom.
