From Major League Baseball to college football, Wisconsinites love watching sports. While Wisconsin’s biggest sporting claim to fame is arguably the Green Bay Packers’ victory in the first Super Bowl, Milwaukee is home to the majority of the state’s professional teams and some of its most devoted fans. When you can’t make it to the game or your team is on the road, catch every minute of the action at one of these top sports bars.

Named after Arsenal Football Club’s old stadium, The Highbury Pub is a soccer fan’s dream. Matches from teams all around the world are shown here, and the bar’s 6 am wake-up call on Saturday ensures that you don’t miss a minute of “the beautiful game.” With Guinness on tap and an atmosphere that is similar to that of an English Premier League game, be prepared for excited fans and possible beer showers.

Major Goolsby’s

Major Goolsby’s is considered to be not only one of the best sports bars in Milwaukee but also in the country. Its location across from the UW Milwaukee Panther Arena and just down the street from the Bradley Center makes it a great spot to grab a pint before or after a game, and fans of all teams are welcome here. Sports fans can reminisce about past wins with the memorabilia-covered walls, and take in the latest action on one of the 55 large-screen HDTVs. Its 1/2 pound burger is also voted one of Milwaukee’s best.

Considered to be Milwaukee’s best craft beer sports bar, Steny’s Tavern is a must for any beer-loving sports fan. If the 28 craft beers available don’t get you in the door, their world-famous Bloody Marys and wings surely will. This family-run tavern in Walker’s Point has more than 16 HDTVs and a giant 10-foot big screen for showing the game of the day. Hockey fans should note that Steny’s is an official Chicago Blackhawks bar and offers specials during hockey games.

The Nomad World Pub

Located on eclectic Brady Street, The Nomad World Pub is primarily a soccer bar. Their long hours make it easy to catch your favorite team’s match, even if they are on the other side of the world. For those times when soccer simply isn’t on TV, there are some other fun events taking place here such as Drink & Draw nights, karaoke, and open mic nights.

Despite the name being baseball themed, Who’s on Third is an official bar of the Milwaukee Bucks.
