Supper clubs—typically a combination of a dinner party and a restaurant outing—are a truly unique experience, a way to indulge in food and conversation with friends and strangers. Here’s our list of supper club events in the DC area that you should be looking at for this one-of-a-kind experience.

Dacha Supper Club

Dacha Supper Club
Set in a loft above the popular beer garden, the Dacha Supper Club seats up to 16 people. Dinners usually run on Thursdays, and tickets are available online. James Beard-nominated Chef Quinten Frye serves a five-course meal with seasonal, local produce and drink pairings. Diners connect over the fabulous food, art in the gallery space, and anything else the night brings.

Hush Supper Club

Hush Supper Club is a vegetarian experience featuring food from India with a side of stories and spices. Typically held a few days each month, the intimate 12-person dinners feature vegetarian menus that vary by season, with guaranteed oodles of flavor and a great time overall. Suggested donations for the BYOB dinner are available on the website.

Blue Duck Tavern’s Seasonal Garden Table

An outdoor, communal Chef’s Table experience at the Michelin-starred Blue Duck Tavern provides patrons with the exclusive experience of gathering and celebrating with other guests to share seasonal dishes (not on the current menu). The dinner is served family style, along with cocktail and wine pairings. Reservations are limited to parties of 1–4 guests for the 12-seat dinner.

MealTribes

This newly launched potluck dinner club aims to get back to “eating together, connecting with new people, and sharing new ideas—right in peoples’ homes” by conducting dinner at various homes around the DC area. It’s a simple yet uncommon concept these days: enjoy a simple meal with meaningful conversation while making new friends. Sign up online for free to hear of upcoming dinners in the area.

Via Umbria
Be transported to the Italian countryside at the dinner parties held Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at Via Umbria. These shared experiences with other guests around a communal table with delicious food and wine (pick up a bottle at their store) are truly memorable, just like any family meal in Italy.

The Bespoke Kitchen

The Bespoke Kitchen
This occasional supper club only holds a few dinners a year, but they are worth waiting for and experiencing. The themed dinners have varied from Russian to Chinese to Tropical Staycations, and all produce amazing food memories.
