From figurines to collectable items, manga to a vast amount of comics ranging from indie to mainstream and even kids comic books, Bedrock City Comics has it all, and there’s no way anyone could leave unsatisfied. They also have one of the largest collections of DC and Marvel comic T-shirts. Although there’s so much to choose from, the store is neatly organized and uncluttered. Having trouble deciding what to read? Don’t worry, the staff has extensive knowledge about the comics’ plots.

The Pop Culture Company

The Pop Culture Company is a ‘nerdvana,’ offering a lot of deals and discounts, including happy hour on Wednesdays where some comics sell for about $4 or less. They sell art books, toys, plus classic and modern comics galore. Upon entering, visitors will immediately be greeted, and after browsing, they will most likely leave with a stack of old Marvel comics, wanting to go back for more. The good folks at Pop Culture are easy to talk to, passionate — they obviously love their job — give their honest opinion, and truly care for the customer’s gratification.

Storm Squad

Third Planet Sci-Fi Superstore

Ready to Roll

Nan’s Games & Comics Too

Come to Nan’s Games & Comics Too if in search of board games, Dungeons & Dragons gear, or just a good read. Don’t be fooled by the hole-in-the-wall exterior — this place is a treasure trove, but a little digging may be involved. Nan’s is perfect for those who do role playing as there are a lot of boxes, which line the walls, filled to the brim with role playing gear that’s older than Dad. Although it is heavily geared toward the game side, there are sufficient comics and probably one of the largest manga selections in Houston.
