Bar 12
At first, it might seem strange to have a bar within a department store. However, after a day of shopping, it makes a lot of sense. Forget your achy feet at Bar 12, located at the top floor of Saks Fifth Avenue. The bar is as stylish as the store, with sophisticated mixed drinks. The menu is also surprisingly well-rounded, with everything from shrimp cocktails to a bacon cheeseburger provided by 51fifteen, the in-store restaurant downstairs.
The Tasting Room
The Tasting Room is a lovely wine bar with a long wine list, an open patio and live music. The patio is breezy, relaxing and downright delightful, while the interior is elegant, modern and cozy. The food is out of this world; savory pork sausage, crispy pizza, tender steak. The long opening hours make this a great place to have brunch or lunch and enjoy delicious mimosas or other wine-based cocktails later in the day.
Muldoon’s the Patio
Muldoon’s is a friendly neighborhood bar for a relaxed drink. Sit under some of the oldest trees in the region while enjoying a gorgeous view. It’s a true respite from the busy Houston bustle and the sometimes oppressive heat. Friendly service and a cozy indoor bar add to the appeal. .
The Deck on Fountainview
The food specials. That’s really the best reason to visit The Deck on Fountainview but you’ll also be delighted with the attentive service, affordable prices and fun crowd. It’s a sports bar, so dress casually and expect TV screens and football fans. Review their online events calendar to see if they’ll be showing a specific game or event. The crawfish is sold by the pound and the fries are made to order. The deck can also be reserved for events.
Prohibition
While it might sound strange at first, this is a bar and burlesque theater you’ll want to bring everyone to. Beautiful chandeliers, elegant wrought iron staircase railings and cozy seating set the ambience for an intimate night out that will delight every one of your senses. Seats are appropriately spread around so that everyone gets a great view of the stage, which hosts burlesque acts, aerial performers, jugglers and all sorts of other entertainers.
The Concert Pub
This is mainly a sports bar, but with a musical twist, as it’s a music venue as well. They host local cover and tribute bands and a live DJ on weekends, as well as happy hours, crawfish boils and steak nights; check the website for listings and dates. Jake’s Sports Bar

Ron’s Pub
Ron’s Pub has an excellent beer and wine selection, plenty of dartboards and the friendliest service in town. It’s a British-style neighborhood pub with a quiet, calm environment where patrons can have a beer and enjoy a conversation.
