Officially coined the Music City, Nashville is unsurprisingly home to some of the best country music bars. With country music stars holding their roots in Nashville, this city has some of the best live talent you can check out live in the city’s bars.

Tootsies Orchid Lounge

One venue, two bands

A little bit blues dive bar and a little honky-tonk, the Tootsies Orchid Lounge is the watering hole for an eclectic blend of live music. There’s usually two bands that play on separate levels, and big crowds are there for both. They’ve also got a storied food & drink menu; the drinks are a bit pricier, but the music makes it worth the money.

Legends Corner

Legendary live country music

Country albums covering the walls of the Legends Corner, this bar is one of the best for live country music. Legends Corner décor is somewhat dive-y, but its main genre would be honkey-tonk. The bartenders believe in Southern hospitality, and Legends Corner is known for some of the friendliest wait staff. Dancing is strongly encouraged.

Wildhorse Saloon

Southern comfort & line dancing

The Wildhorse Saloon is a watering hole that serves Southern food – mostly barbecue, and offers free line dancing. It’s a tri-level structure that hosts multiple bars and live music. The Saloon’s drinks are on the pricier side, but there are good happy hour deals available. This is a little bit of a tourist attraction. Put ‘saloon’ on anything, and it’ll become a tourist attraction. However, it has some of the best live music in the area.
