Rolf and Daughters

Locally sourcing their ingredients for the freshest tastes, Rolf and Daughters is a popular Germantown restaurant and bar. With exposed industrial brick walls and a high ceiling, Rolf and Daughters has an open and pleasant no-frills feel to it. Their cocktail menu includes ‘Rose is in Bloom’ with Connemara Irish Whiskey, Cocchi Rosa, orange, lemon, and cherry bitters, and the ‘401K’ with Espolon Reposado, pineapple, lime, tonic syrup, and soda.

h & Taylor

Diner, Restaurant, American

Inspired by American Sunday dinners, Chef Daniel Lindley created 5th & Taylor as a restaurant to recreate, in a refined expression, traditional fare meant to foster community. The ambiance is artsy and hipster-friendly, with plaster sculptures, splattered canvases, and an overhanging ceiling that makes the place feel like a museum warehouse. Yet the space feels intimate at the same time, with comfy chairs and couches, candles, and simple tables. The bar offers a variety of drinks, from cucumber infused vodka cocktails to sangrias, all served by candlelight.

The MaD PLaTTeR

The MaD PLaTTeR is a little restaurant on the corner of Monroe and 6th of historic Germantown, located in a restored 100 year old building. Besides tasty dishes and tempting desserts, it serves refreshing cocktails like Bloody Marys and spiked spiced teas. Every Thursday is happy hour, with offers including five dollar glasses of select wines and two-for-one beers.

A Southern-influenced, neighborhood bistro, Silo is a popular place to dine in Nashville. At their bar, they serve tasty snacks, like roasted cauliflower salad and smoked wings. Whiskey lovers will appreciate their strong selection of bourbon, whiskey, scotch, and rye. For cocktails, they offer drinks like the ‘SILO Sour’ made with bourbon, fresh lemon, honey, and Angostura bitters, or the ‘5th & Madison’ with vodka, lemon, pear nectar, St. Germain, and Angostura bitters.

It’s located in the Nashville Farmers’ Market, making it the ideal place to stop for a drink during shopping. Buy local meats and cheeses at the market to pair with your beer and sit at a picnic table.

Cochon Butcher

Butcher, American

This restaurant offers a butcher shop, a sandwich counter, and a wine bar, so definitely consider Cochon Butcher when you’re in Germantown looking for a place to get a glass of wine. They specialize in house made meats, terrines, and sausages, and serve up mouthwatering sandwiches like their duck pastrami slider. Plus they offer charcuterie boards to pair with your wine, of course.

Butchertown Hall

Utilizing primitive wood-fired cooking techniques for their pub grub and pouring an extensive variety of beers from local Nashville breweries, Butchertown Hall in Germantown reinvents the beer hall and pays tribute to the historic German immigrant neighborhood with delicious beer and food. You’ll find small bites like grilled oysters with chili puree and chimichurri sauce as well as traditional burgers and sausages. They have a large number of beers on tap, as well as wines and classic cocktails like the ‘Buck,’ made with Tequila Blanco, mezcal, pineapple, sage, ginger beer, serrano pepper, and lemon.

Their draft beers are in constant rotation, but if you can’t find what you’re looking for on tap, they’ll likely have it canned or bottled. They serve all kinds of brews from around the U.S. and also from Europe and the United Kingdom.

Germantown Pub
