Known as “the West’s most Western town”, Scottsdale offers a mix of traditional Western and modern attributes. The serene combination of the valley backed by the contrast of the desert makes Scottsdale stand out from other cities in Arizona. Today, Scottsdale is an oasis for many of the rich who use it as a place to unwind and relax. This is reflected in the city’s hotels, many of which are vast resorts, almost little cities in themselves. If this awesome city is on your travel list, here’s your guide to the best places to stay in Scottsdale, Arizona – bookable on Culture Trip.
W Scottsdale
Hotel
Although a relatively new hotel, the W Scottsdale has already made its mark on the Scottsdale vacation list with its modern and trendy decor. The rooftop pool is a huge attraction, even to Scottsdale locals, and is at its prime at night. The lobby of the hotel features an excellent sushi bar. W Scottsdale provides several other dining options in the area and is situated near the nightlife of the city, with many of the city’s nightclubs lining the side of the hotel.
The Phoenician
Resort
One of the most well-known hotels in Phoenix, the Phoenician was one of the first resorts to grace the Scottsdale area. The location of The Phoenician allows guests access to anything in the area, including the favorite Camelback hiking trails. There is a vast art collection onsite as well as a massive golf course for guests to use, plus a huge pool and full spa available. The Phoenician has one of the best restaurants in the area, great for every meal of the day. Scottsdale is very near, but The Phoenician provides everything necessary to make it the ultimate destination to relax.
The Saguaro
Hotel
The Saguaro is located in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. Though the amenities are slightly outdated, the decor and style of the hotel are bright, warm, and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and the hotel has everything that could be needed, including a pool and fully-equipped spa. It’s also next door to all of the best restaurants and activities Scottsdale has to offer. What is truly exceptional about the Saguaro is the staff. Despite being a large commercial hotel, they work tirelessly to help guests feel as though they are staying in a home rather than a hotel. They, and the location, make the Saguaro one of the best options for accommodation while staying in Scottsdale.
Talking Stick Resort
Resort
Located away from the main Scottsdale attractions, the Talking Stick Resort is so ample in amenities and activities that it’s almost easy to forget there’s an entire city to see and explore. Talking Stick comes with a Las Vegas-style casino, which provides adults a great chance to unwind and have some fun. There are also two golf courses onsite, not to mention the standard pool and spa that are available for all guests. The rooms are large and beautiful, decorated minimally in a relatively contemporary manner. Though the casino implies an older age group, there is plenty for families to experience while staying at the Talking Stick. The food within the hotel is superbly prepared, but restaurants and the rest of downtown Scottsdale are minutes away and easily accessible.
WorldMark Scottsdale
Resort, Hotel
WorldMark Scottsdale is a resort attached to a sports club. This is the best possible arrangement for people who are into sports, as the club has tennis courts, pools, workout rooms with every imaginable fitness class and session offered for purchase. The fitness club is surrounded by many hiking trails to appease nature lovers and fitness enthusiasts.

Bespoke Inn Scottsdale
Boutique Hotel, Hotel
Somewhere in between a bed and breakfast and a luxury hotel, the Bespoke Inn offers the best of both worlds. Small, but welcoming and cozy, Bespoke Inn is an arm’s reach away from all of Scottsdale’s main attractions right in the middle of the art district. With an award-winning chef, the food at the Bespoke Inn echoes Mediterranean cuisine. What’s notable about the boutique hotel is the complimentary collection of British Pashley bicycles, which are part of a larger assortment of artisan bikes available for rental from the Bespoke Cycle shop. Visitors can explore Scottsdale and come back to a home away from home.
Village Grove Bed and Breakfast
Bed and Breakfast, Hotel
Village Grove Bed and Breakfast is one of the best in the area. The owner, Deirdre, lives on-site and treats guests as if they were staying in her own home. Village Grove is located in a quiet neighborhood of Old Town Scottsdale that is secluded from the main area of Scottsdale, but close enough that downtown can be reached by foot. There are two bedrooms provided, both fitted with king beds and full bathrooms. A private pool and deck are available for guests as well. Of course, the much-anticipated breakfast is never disappointing. The food is exceptional and provides enough fuel to battle the hot sun and explore Scottsdale to its full extent.
