If you haven’t been able to find the perfect gift for someone you care about recently, you might want to pay this shop a visit. Wildcardhas been supplying the Lawrenceville area with unique cards, handmade gifts and much more since 2009. Shopping at Wildcard means that you’re supporting local artists and businesses that create the one of a kind items found only in this store.
Ragged Row
In 2012, graphic designer Brigitte Nguyen opened Ragged Row because she felt that Pittsburgh needed more ‘locally owned boutiques’ and now she has two locations in the Pittsburgh area. Along with her sister, Christina Nguyen, Brigitte co-owns both locations which carry Pittsburgh-themed apparel that are designed by both Brigitte and her partner David Barbe. The owners strive to only carry made-in-America items, to cement that home-made vibe. When browsing, notice how they subtly play on icons in Pittsburgh like the Steelers logo.
Lex & Lynne
Lex & Lynne started in 2011 as a line of jewelry under the same name, and Alexis Corry has been about keeping her business local ever since. Now with two clothing boutiques in Sewickley (the newest one includes menswear), Alexis has also added clothing designer to her list of attributes. The boutiques are very chic and offer clothing, shoes, handbags and belts all following the latest fashions. Inside the Lex & Lynne | Courtesy of Lex & Lynne
