1. Bake My Day Café

As the name suggests, Bake My Day Café is a great place to visit, especially if you have a major sweet craving. Established in 2012, this bakery specializes in cupcakes (jumbo cupcakes no less) and also offers cake pops, cookies, brownies, cinnamon rolls and muffins, all in a variety of flavors. While flavors vary from day to day, some of the regular cupcake highlights you’ll find are maple bacon, red velvet, chocolate peanut butter, tiramisu, raspberry cream, pumpkin cream cheese, and French toast. Open Monday through Saturday, the bakery also offers sandwiches if you want something savory.

2. Bonfire's Tortilla Bar

Bonfire’s Tortilla Bar is a no-frills establishment that opened in 2003 and has been a popular place for Mexican food ever since. Specializing in ‘monster burritos,’ Bonfire’s offers three different sizes depending on your hunger level; if you’re truly ravenous, go for the BEAST, which has 2.5 pounds of goodness wrapped in a tortilla. Choose from five different tortillas, from traditional to cheddar jalapeño to spinach, various meats such as carne asada and chicken, veggies, beans, rice, sauces. Bonfire’s offers other dishes as well, including quesadillas and burrito bowls.

Try the chaufa, which is a classic Peruvian dish with a Chinese twist made with jasmine rice, scallions, eggs, soy sauce plus Peruvian spices; the anticuchos, or skewers of meat or seafood served with a choice of sauce (there are nine to choose from); or the ever-popular yucca fries, which make the perfect accompaniment to any dish.
