The Mint House at Midtown stands behind the landmark Scarritt Bennett Center, close to Music Row, Vanderbilt University and Belmont University, and is within walking distance of Hillsboro Village’s shops, restaurants and bars. All in all, this apartment complex an excellent base for exploring Music City. The multistory building has plenty of unit options, whether you want one or two bedrooms, including full kitchens, sofa beds, in-unit laundry and balconies. And if you’re here on business, there’s plenty of room for setting up your mobile office, too.

Bode Nashville has a great downtown location; from here, you can easily stroll to the Ascend Amphitheater (for shows by the likes of David Gray and the Black Crowes), the trolley barns and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Alternatively, you can simply hang out in your sleek apartment. Units have full kitchens, multiple bathrooms and bedrooms, balconies and – with this being Nashville – guitars you can play. Some rooms even have foosball tables. The outdoor space includes a stage for live music, firepits, games and that rare downtown amenity, free parking.

This inviting apartment in central Midtown is brilliantly located for first-timers keen to discover all. You can walk to Nashville’s green-space gem, Centennial Park, and its famous Parthenon, along with restaurants and bars and the Rock Block, a strip of live-music venues. Inside a 1900 brick building, the apartment is a comfy retreat, with modern furnishing and amenities, including a full kitchen and dining area, king- and queen-size beds, and contactless entry.

Check in to these modern lofts, and you’ll be in the center of all the action, from honky-tonks, museums and festival stages to downtown essentials for business meetings, banks and government entities. Being just north of Broadway, you’ll hear the music playing and cheers coming from those boozy mobile party bikes plying the streets. If you want a little distance, take in the views of the Cumberland River and Nissan Stadium, home to the NFL’s Tennessee Titans.

The Guild in the Gulch

As one of the neighborhoods with the most urban density in Nashville, the Gulch sprouts several blocks of high-rises. From your apartment at the Guild in the Gulch, you can look out at the city activity, get ready for a night out by playing music on your record player and generally make yourself at home. You’ll feel even more settled in if (for a fee) you arrange to have your fridge stocked in advance of your arrival.

The Lee ApartaHotel

For decades, this imposing red-brick building was popular off-campus housing for Vanderbilt University students. It’s been updated some since then – the reason you’ll pick this space is for its budget rates and great central location, rather than its amenities. From here, you’re in proximity to Centennial Park, the Parthenon, some great restaurants and bars, and the Rock Block.

Home2 Suites by Hilton Nashville Vanderbilt

Suite Hotel, Apartment

More of a standard hotel-suite set-up than true apartment living, this hotel is a good option for extended stays in the Music Row area. It has spacious guest rooms with bright colors and a curtain divider between the bedroom and living room (which has a pullout sofa) so that you can have privacy between the two spaces. A free shuttle will take you where you need to go within 3mi (5km) of the hotel, which hits hotspots on the Vanderbilt and Belmont campuses, plus several area hospitals.
