The Capital Grille offers many popular dishes, including a lobster mac and cheese, dry aged Kansas City strips, seared tenderloin with butter poached lobster tails, Chilean sea bass with mushroom soy broth, and pan-seared sea scallops with wild mushroom risotto. For dessert, The Capital Grille is best known for their coconut cream pie, which is served with homemade caramel sauce. McCormick & Schmick’s is a seafood restaurant and steakhouse with an emphasis on fresh and seasonal food. As a result of this focus on freshness, McCormick & Schmick’s updates their menu every day so that only the freshest, best seafood is served. In desserts, McCormick & Schmick’s is most famous for their ‘chocolate bag,’ a tall box made of solid chocolate and filled with chocolate mousse and fresh berries. McCormick & Schmick’s also has a full bar with bar food and a popular happy hour.

For dinner, Plaza III Steakhouse’s most popular options are their roasted prime rib of beef as well as their ‘grande shellfish platter,’ which, with king crab legs, twin lobster tails, and grille scallops and shrimps, is enough for four guests to share. Plaza III Steakhouse also offers other steaks, roasts, and chops, like their USDA Prime porterhouse steak, as well as seafood dishes like their rainbow trout.

5. Café Europa

Café Europa is a friendly, warm restaurant in Kansas City’s Crestwood Shops that still offers a lovely fine dining experience. For dinner, Café Europa’s most popular dishes are their steak tartare, their dry aged pork chop, their scallops with risotto, and their lamb and chickpea stew. Café Europa is mostly known for their exquisite desserts, however, like their lemon cake and homemade ice cream.
