The Top Places To Eat Outside In Baltimore

Lauren Gruber

Baltimore has a lot of great options for food and drink, but what if you want to relax outside with a cold drink and a warm meal? Keep reading for a list of our favorite places to eat al – fresco in Baltimore, Maryland.

Ouzo Bay

Ouzo Bay features a blue and white Miami-style color scheme with a stunning outdoor patio. The Greek restaurant is not only one of the best upscale dining experiences in the city, but also features stunning views of the Inner Harbor while eating amongst the marble tabletops. Patrons can’t go wrong with their order here, as the seafood dishes and lamb are all cooked to perfection in a charcoal grill. Fish are imported from all over the world, so the chef has the advantage of working with the freshest seafood available. Large plates of pan-seared sea scallops with roasted eggplant puree add heaps of flavor. They also have a large cigar menu, and when it’s warm out, you can smoke them on the patio after the kitchen closes.

Azumi

Located in the Four Seasons, Azumi hosts stunning views of the Inner Harbor. Wicker chairs and modern tables decorate a brick patio right by the water that is especially stunning during sunset. This phenomenal sushi restaurant garners fish from Tokyo’s Tsukiji Market and serves cuts of Japanese 15 Wagyu skirt steak. However, they also serve safer fare and more traditional dishes, such as Sawagani crabs and live sea urchin. They have an indulgent selection of sake from their master sake sommelier, Tiffany Dawn Soto, and the restaurant has a DJ and a South Beach vibe with a sleek, modern design. Also, check out the harbor side booths to relax while taking in the spectacular cityscape.

Thames Street Oyster House

Although it doesn’t have a harbor view, the Fell’s Point restaurant features a brick courtyard surrounded by neighboring buildings, which gives it an industrial and modernly chic flair. The stringed, overhead lightbulbs and simple and elegant rustic feeling pave the way for a great evening with equally amazing food. Their seafood dishes are heavenly, making them one of the best ranked restaurants in Baltimore. For starters, try the lobster mac n’ cheese and their spread of casual, but save room for refined recipes and main courses like the seared Block Island scallops.

Woodberry Kitchen

Woodberry Kitchen hosts stunning outdoor dining with lush trees surrounding an intimate and cozy area with rustic tables. The restaurant itself is located in an cavern-like, brick-walled former mill, adding to the charm. The farm-to-table menu boasts an appetizing array of Mid-Atlantic cuisine with a hands-on approach from the chef, who forages for mushrooms and edible flowers. Enjoy one of their seafood dishes like the crab pot with sherry-infused dip alongside one of their sustainable cocktails underneath their yellow umbrellas on the patio, where the small outdoor lights make this an enchanting setting for a midsummer’s date.

Wit & Wisdom

Another Harbor favorite, Wit & Wisdom offers a relaxing lounge area with comfortable bright Sienna-colored sofas and wicker chairs for a relaxing dinner. In the evening, candle lit lanterns add to a romantic ambience against the harbor’s waterfront. In the lounge, you can dine on their shortened menu of charcuterie or their Maryland crab cake sandwich. They also feature happy hour wines and cocktails, and half-off the entire tavern menu Monday through Friday from 3PM-6PM. Don’t forget to check out their beer specials at their modern bar overlooking the water.
