Along the Chesapeake Bay, there is a variety of quaint small towns that not only prepare fresh seafood daily, but have amazing views of the water and welcome tourists. Many of the restaurants are located in St. Michaels, Chesapeake City, and other towns. If you’re looking to eat the freshest seafood while in beautiful surroundings, check out these restaurants.

1. Chesapeake Landing

Chesapeake Landing is a fantastic family-owned and operated restaurant located near St. Michaels, Maryland. The seafood is unparalleled as it is fresh, locally caught, and brought to the restaurant for carry-out or dine-in patrons. Chesapeake Landing’s crab cakes have also been voted the best in the county and they have the largest seafood menu in the Bay area.

2. Knoxie's Table

Knoxie’s Table is located on Kent Island, in the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. The menu is an assortment of seasonal dishes from local farmers and watermen. This restaurant is small, as it only seats 150 people, and contains a rustic décor with bistro lighting and amazing outside ambiance when night falls. This restaurant has an oyster bar and serves jumbo lump crab cakes, which are deliciously prepared and locally sourced.

3. Bayard House Restaurant

Bayard House Restaurant is a special place as it prides itself on its fine waterfront dining on the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal. The building where this restaurant is housed is one of the oldest in the area of Chesapeake City. Bayard House Restaurant not only gives you a view of the canal, but you’re also able to see the beautiful Chesapeake Bay Bridge while dining here. They serve mac & cheese, crab bisque, Maryland Blue Crab, plus many more gourmet dishes.
