Bars
Baltimore, Maryland, happens to be the home of many bars that feature live music. The Horse You Came In On Saloon is one of many older bars in Baltimore city. It was established in 1775 and has remained one of the most iconic places in the Fell’s Point neighborhood. Horse You Came In On specializes in live music daily.
Similarly, another local bar, Howl At The Moon, is located in downtown Baltimore, inside of Power Plant Live! This bar is known for its live music events and has certain days set aside for special events. Howl features live piano as well as a variety of different bands playing different genres of music.

The Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall is a concert hall in Baltimore that features the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO). Festivals
The African American Music Festival (AFRAM) is a regular tradition in Baltimore that hosts a variety of celebrity talent. In years past, the AFRAM has seen performers such as Erykah Badu, Dru Hill, Mario, and many others. The event is free, and there are always activities for children and plenty of local vendors who support the arts. The Capital Jazz Fest is another outdoor festival that is usually held at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. This festival has a variety of performances from Jill Scott to Faith Evans. If you plan to attend the Jaz Fest, it’s better to purchase tickets ahead of time and arrive early so that you will not be standing somewhere in the back.

Record Store
The Sound Garden is a retro independent store located in Fell’s Point, Baltimore, and truly an anchor in the neighborhood. This store not only has old records, movies, and comedy shows, but it has old CDs, tapes, and even records. If you love searching through vintage oldies and surrounding yourself with music, you must visit the Sound Garden. Many celebrities have visited this establishment as well, for example, Goo Goo Dolls, Robin Thicke, Grace Potter, local artists, and others.
